Now, an atheist might say that they *know* there isn't any kind of deity, afterlife, or spirituality of any kind. But, since they have zero evidence to prove that, by definition, it must be taken on faith.

This is why I had to stop listening to Disturbed. They were my favorite band for so long. But, when the front man for a band with so many anti-establishment/religion/war songs autographs a bomb headed for Palestinians, the hypocrisy becomes too much.
