And 7 as the 7th D-man. Almost like it was meant to be

I expected regression but he has really struggled this year.

We tend to better remember things that make us laugh. Also sounds, pictures and associations are memorable.

You could write the antithetical version by exaggerating and making fun of the codes and rules. Just spitballing ideas.

It also helps to understand by opposites. I look up definitions, synonyms, antonyms etc. Something cannot be defined unless it has an opposite.

Then compare/contrast the two. It is no longer a passive exercise but an active one. May create a synapse in the old thinker

I recommend trying something Jay Heinrichs calls unwriting. Read whatever portion of writing you want to better understand, then cover it up and try to rewrite it using your own words.

Ancient orators created a memory palace. They imagined rooms with images of the topics/ideas/etc. they needed to remember and would walk through the place to keep them on track. I’m guessing there is a sordid lack of imagery conjured by such writings however.

The continual lack of execution and effort cannot be continually blamed on the young players. This was a veteran-laiden lineup tonight and they were embarrassingly outmatched by a mediocre Senators squad. Not even close to good enough.

The progression of the young players is apparent. When I say real or imagined I mean whether Cronin is a primary contributor or if they are improving regardless of Cronin’s coaching.

I’ve seen enough to come to the conclusion that it’s nothing beyond any real or imagined progression from young players. This along with the firsthand Yandle account of Cronin’s behavior has shortened my tolerance level with him substantially, if not completely. That behavior is unacceptable if true

Time’s precious and life’s short. I do only three things. What’s totally necessary, what I thoroughly enjoy, and what leads me toward the mastery of my self and profession. If it isn’t important to you, then it isn’t. It’s not a question of morality but of values Better to ask: What do I care abt?

7 minutes into the game and Killorn looks terrible. Three puck touches on the same shift and Ottawa gets possesion from each one without doing anything but being in the right place.

Squint hard enough, you can see the ghost of Chris Pronger.

Never seen a player look so bad on ice but look so good in analytics. Slow player who consistently gives away possession and relies heavily on teammates for scoring chances. I’m happy to be wrong if he is making a positive impact outside of the points he scores. Has been playing w/ Zegras lately

Anaheim values mobility/skating and intelligence as the most important factors they look for in defensemen. These are not at all strengths in Jiricek’s game. I would be surprised if Anaheim made any serious offer considering the return Columbus received.

They paid waay more than I would even consider for the Ducks. Hope he works out in Minnisota though

Ah yes he who shall not be named. Z and McTavish are both playing well which is great to see. Same with Cutter and Killer. Most if not all the forwards seem to be finding their rhythm. Defense is scoring, goaltending looks amazing. This team just miiight be getting on track.

This piece reminds me of how I hate my steaks. Well done. Stakes on the other hand I’d prefer to run through the blood sucking vampires that are running and promoting these gambling schemes. Legalizing thievery and preying on poor fools! Mostly kidding lol.

I wonder what type of value Jackson Lacombe holds. Probably not enough but Lacombe + I’d definitely think about it.

Jiricek is another offensively minded defenseman. Not sure we need more of them. Has a great one timer. Also a knee injury history. Haven’t watched him since D-1 so I don’t know how he has progressed. Jiricek could hit big but so could Mason. I say stick with the guy you have, we’re light on fwd’s

The top 4 are really really close. If Mcqueen gets healthy and continues his early trajectory it will be 5. Could be a year where there are 5 different players that teams have at #1 when the draft rolls around. Keep in mind Hagens is an undersized freshman in college. Others are in junior.

at least that’s what I saw in their game against Utah
