If I could correct one misunderstanding the US general public has, this would be near the top of my list: foreign aid, whether humanitarian or military or whatever, is almost never cash. It is largely American goods purchased with taxpayer dollars from mostly American companies (aka a subsidy).

Pretty sure we may be past saving, the dude benefitted from a life of apartheid finances. But, fight we must!
