The Goonies. Easy pick. Such an important part of my childhood and my love of adventure and seeing new things. Actually just introduced it to my partner yesterday when a little theater near her place did an afternoon showing.

There's an old sports metaphor that is apt here. If you spend too much time listening to the fans, you will eventually sit with them.

My mid and higher end devices, including another Ambernic, I run front ends that don't have SD card issues with Windows like ES-DE or Onion.

There is a way to set that up with the two SD card system that Ambernic uses and it's possible the preconfigured set ups come that way. I'm using Techdweeb's 1 card set up which forces the Linux PC thing with the card. I don't use it for 5th gen or higher emulators so wifi is slower but fine.

I wouldn't say I am either. That's why I like Techdweeb's videos. They're pretty easy to follow. If you haven't done this yet, it's likely the memory card you got is cheap and will eventually break. Whenever you get a retro system you should buy a nicer card like a SanDisk and transfer your files.

I'm running Knulli. The one downside is all my data transfers have to be done over Wifi because it's Linux and I don't have a Linux computer. I'm still working on optimizing. Been making a core ROM memory card to share between my devices. If you want more about Knulli: youtu.be/MVPUu2BWuqw?...

I also have an Ambernic SP! Love my Flipzizzle. I carry it everywhere in case I've got some down time to waste.

Oh yeah, to all actors, directors, grips, gaffers, whatever. Do the thing that brings you joy and artistic growth but also, get paid and paid as well as you can.

The first was a surprisingly great movie. The sequel was a good follow up. 3, I'm glad I didn't pay to see it. Made for good background entertainment while I worked on my computer.

Oh buddy! Happy birthday! I can't believe he's six already! What a handsome man.

That's true. At least it'll make for easier swipes on dating sites cause you know those asshats have them in their profile pics.

Imagine walking into a dealership and saying, yes, I'm in the mood for a car, that has a truck flatbed, is bad at both, basically a less cool El Camino that looks like sheet metal after a hurricane and spontaneously combusts like a less reliable Ford Pinto. Basically, the worst parts of car history.

You can feel his demons in hos words. This sounds like the nastiness of a man battling addiction and lashing out at everything in between his genius storytelling.

If I ever tried to give Duck a bath I would look like a jello mold dropped in a garbage disposal.

Was watching a time lapse showing her singing this in a park to 50 people on a simple Casio keyboard 4 years ago and just, good for her. Like, I found out about her through Hot to Go, but damn if Pink Pony Club isn't one of the greatest songs ever written imo. Legendary artistry.

Yeah, my partner is currently interviewing for a year long fellowship somewhere in the US that'll almost certainly require tons of flying for both of us in the next year and I also have a deep anxiety over it in ideal times. I hope your trip goes very smooth.

I guess it's on me for being in college for theater at the time. Lol

That happened to me on 33 just outside Dublin. I almost plowed into stopped traffic and luckily ended up in the median. It's a helluva thing to process and I'm sorry you went through it.

Oh lord I know how terrifying that is. I'm glad you're safe.
