Ha ha. I can’t even claim to have been at that game as I was studying hard at Monash Uni in Melbourne that year. Well for part of the year at least.

On Dec 4th 1978 Aus played the World XI at the SCG. The World XI made 163 and we were 3/5 in reply after Garth LeRoux ripped through the top order - the blond bombshell burst onto the scene and no one had ever heard of him because of SA not playing at the time. 4/6

so he could concentrate on his antique business in Geelong but he made a comeback when World Series Cricket started. So Dec 1978 we were watching a day/nighter at home (which was very exciting because 50 over cricket esp at night was a new concept back then ) 2/6

You young blokes probably have never heard of Ian Redpath but I thought I'd share this with you. The last thing Grandpa Len ever said to me was that Ian Redpath was one of the greatest batsman he had seen. Redders retired before the 1975 tour of England 1/6

This Labor Government has been so disappointing on many matters. I fear this will turn away voters and yet the LNP alternative is a far worse option. Dare I say a minority Labor Government where the independents have enough sway to make a difference is our best hope for the future.
