Thanks for listening to our late night ramblings. We appreciate all the love and support of our site and our #USOpenCup coverage. We hope to make the #USOC2025 our best tournament ever as a site and can't do it without you all. Cheers to many great moments and ample cupsets in 2025!

Speaking of being paid, the TheCup.us team including the founder, Josh Hakala, do this out of the love for #USOC2025 / soccer and aren't currently compensated, but we'd love to change that even if it's small compensation. One way to help us is by supporting our patreon. www.patreon.com/usopencup

We do our best when it comes to graphics for articles and social media, but are always looking to expand that team as well especially as #USOC2025 rapidly approaches. While we can't pay at the moment, it's a great resume builder and a nice group of folks bonded by the love of the Cup!

We'd also love to have more gameday photographers. Some of our writers/game reporters also take photos. We aren't asking you to be an expert, but some experience would be nice and your work would be featured in game recaps, round reviews, and other graphics. More #USOC2025 photo options the better.

Game Reporters help our social media folks communicate what's going on more efficiently especially in the earlier rounds when there's a lot of action going on at once. Also, a game recap with quotes and helping share gameday rosters are part of what we ask of on-sire reporters.

First off, the site could use help editing match recaps and round recap blurbs. Many nights our dedicated volunteers are up into the early morning making sure #USOpenCup fans get the most updated information in a timely fashion. However, many hands make light work and we can always use more help.

Unlike the NCAA, players can reinstate their amateur eligibility in US Soccer at any time, infinitely. Meaning someone like Bill Hamid can jump between professional and amateur multiple times. Just need to fill out the proper paperwork.

Expect it all to be a free cost for consumers regardless. Your email and browser cookies, however, might be required.

At this time, it is TBA. We expect it to be similar to last year with online streams for the early rounds.
U.S. Soccer is still under a broadcast deal with Turner, so that could play a role. Or perhaps we could see games on MLS Season Pass. It remains to be seen.

Yeah, that's a doozy of a change. But at least it's because the stadium genuinely isn't available, since they're doing renovations. They're not at home till May in the league.

Easy waiver to grant. Also an easy one when the secondary stadium is next door in Miami's case.
Portland's alternate venue is 45 minutes outside Portland, ME

Portland Hearts of Pine is one 3 pro team hosts to move away from their primary stadium in the first round.
The other two are Columbus Crew 2 and Miami FC. Pro teams are hosting 21/32 matches this round.
