You know that feeling of existential dread that consumes your mind and body, thoroughly ruining your week in advance, and making you question if it’s even worth it to continue on?
That’s me. 😔🥺

Yes!! I dont even interact with doom and gloom or obvious rage bait like “tesla is bad, see” or “trump is bad, see” like, we already know!! They are talking in circles and wasting our time!

My whole thing about them has been, once it’s important for me to know what they are, I’ll know what they are. Until then, I’m not digging up every microgram of info to get paranoid and worry myself sick. I quite literally have better things to do.

Ignorance is bliss, I guess, but bliss ain’t cute.

Like don’t tell me y’all have already forgotten that Twitter had a reputation for being a left-leaning platform right up until Musk bought it. And now that all the Twitter competitors are left-leaning (because the OG Twitter userbase is migrating) you’re surprised?

And the Prologue has been an unexpected smash hit.

Although it is odd. Honda and Toyota tend to have similar brand loyalty, but the reception of their EVs has been totally opposite.
Honda’s is a rebadged GM, but has good specs.
Toyota’s is in-house, but has meh specs.
So they have pros and cons… but the bZ4X’s reception has been so… lukewarm.

To be fair, between the Blazer EV, Lyriq, Prologue, and ZDX, I would certainly rather have a Prologue (based on looks). I guess people have just been itching for a Honda EV… and here it is… technically.

Meanwhile, the newbies and casual users are kinda left out to pasture, and it’s an uphill battle to actually create a fulfilling and positive experience.

For the rest of us it’s not, and that’s a problem. Mastodon had the same thing happen, and it’s kinda fallen into the background.
What makes a social media appealing is diversity, but currently, Bluesky is heading towards being a site for the famous and elite.

On my other account, it seems a lot of indie artists are kinda dismayed with the low levels of reposting on Bluesky.
That kinda leads me to believe that this whole “Bluesky is so positive and social!” attitude is only true for famous people.

It’s the Ramen Noodle you love, except the noodles are shaped like I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, etc.

Thank god they also offer $43 Next-Day shipping. I just HAVE to overnight my $1 DVD with a Unity stock asset game on it. 😶

I hope Mastodon finds success elsewhere. I do. I think the concept and morality behind the platform is phenomenal. But as for being the “Twitter replacement?” Bluesky is just better suited for that, and tbh? Bluesky isn’t a bad compromise at all. Things could be worse… much worse.

Other balance issues were the rage baiters, the racial micro aggressors, the gatekeepers, etc. etc. Mastodon’s main problem was getting to big for its britches and then failing to find balance.

Bluesky’s method of primarily being centralized, but leaving the door open to self-hosting, is MUCH better. It simplifies the casual user’s experience, but lets advanced users enjoy the place too.

Mastodon’s primary problem was always balance. People don’t want “open” and “private” and “secure” if it isn’t easy to use. And Mastodon just wallowed in the Federation of it all a little too much. That confused people and turned them away.

They don’t make ‘em like they used to (shutting the fuck up and leaving me alone)!
