This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Allosaurus In 1869, Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden obtained the first Allosaurus fossils. He sent them to Joseph Leidy who identified it as the European dinosaur Poicilopleuron, later renaming it Antrodemus. 1/2

@paleontologizing.bsky.social - Heads up, the Australian Age of Dinosaur Museum in Winton is hiring if you need to get out of the states for a few months. Downside is its over the dig period over there, but it also covers our dig season. So its a bit of a trade. Start is March, for 6 months.
