I like to make movies and wear fun clothes. More frequently doing the latter. Sometimes I take pictures with my Fuji X100T. I drink coffee and watch racing on the weekends.

Jeff buying a Dan Flashes shirt in a petty attempt to subvert their ridicule by Tim Robinson on Netflix.

J. Crew taking risks. We need more interesting things in our mass-market world.

Prof. Gervais taught my MBA Finance class. This research aligns closely with the teachings of 2 of my other favorite professors, Eisenkraft and Hassan, both of whom introduced and expanded on the single most important lesson I learned: “You get what you incentivize.”

Life imitates art…

TLADILA is the movie I want all of my movies to look like. Robbie Muller is a genius of the wide-open, low level fill look of the 90’s. A look that has sadly been flattened into whatever non-style is common today.

An article just tried to sell me “Status Soap” so people who poop in my toilet and then pretend to wash their hands can be briefly impressed with the fact I can afford to blow $45 on soap.

I’m at my parents’ house and “The Fugitive” is on AMC. For a movie that is mostly Harrison Ford walking in and out of hospital doors, it’s remarkably engaging. 90’s movies rule.

When I’ve “made it”, you’ll be able to tell by the outsized number of hours of the day I spend absorbing the various forms of late 90’s/early 00’s Cyberpunk content: The Matrix, Perfect Dark, Sliders, Time Splitters 2, etc. on my DLP screen while drinking Bawls.

One very important lesson from business school: the American consumer goods market is driven by middle-income professionals cosplaying as rich people for their entire adult lives.

I had a favorite bar. The menu and concept were made by my best friend. It was sold, TV’s were added and the vibe tanked. I found another favorite bar. It was out of the way but it was quiet, comfortable and the drinks were top tier. Then it closed. I have not found another favorite. I may never.

In 2018, Abercrombie & Fitch gave us the “Dad Coat”, a short-ish, half raglan, balmacaan made from deadstock Abraham Moon tweed. The fabric was used by far more reputable brands, which made this coat a great value. Unfortunately, it was kind of a “lightning in a bottle” moment for A&F.

Ezri once told Worf, "The Klingon Empire is dying, and I think it deserves to die … I know this sounds harsh, but the truth is you have been willing to accept a government that you know is corrupt. Gowron is just the latest example." Later that day, Worf killed Gowron. This is a post about DS9.

@dieworkwear.bsky.social I got my Gustin “1968” jeans today. The only pair of raw denim that has fit my thunder thighs and dump truck of an ass. Thanks for the tip!

only appropriate political response here is to demand the white house explain how its actions aren’t responsible www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

Business:

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

I edited my bio to include my photography hobby. For the last 4 years I’ve been shooting with a Fuji X100T. Here are some favorites:

The year is 2035. I meet President AOC in the Oval Office. "You've done well," she says. "By telling men to dress gay, you've lowered the population rate by 90%, thereby reducing carbon emissions." She slides me a manilla envelope. I can now afford a home in a walkable neighborhood

The deadline to postmark W2’s sent to employees is January 31st, and yet every day at work I hear some version of this

Casual office dress codes mean we can spend the money that would have gone to semi-formal attire on evening wear instead.
