At least it’s not being completely ignored anymore.

I can’t wait until you get to the chapter when a guy is being attacked in his home then his butler walks in and immediately jumps in and starts whoopin’ @ss. “Sir, dinner is…why, YOU!”

Had it been made in a different decade, his phrase might be, “Holy Moley, mother$&@“!”

Adventures of Captain Marvel, where instead of saying “Holy Moley” he straight up murders the bad guys.

It needs a fifth panel where he’s back to quietly reading his book.

What’s the difference between a vampire and a man with a sore throat at a narcoleptic convention? One sleeps in a coffin, the other coughs at a sleep-in.

“Otisburg?”
“Miss Teschmacher, she’s got her own place.”
“Otisburg?”
“It’s a little-bitty place.”
“OTISBURG?”

I went to an arcade and saw a massive crowd gathered around a new game: Dragon’s Lair. I tried to squeeze through to get a look at it and, in a moment I’ll always remember, the teen playing the game saw me and said, “Here, kid, you try” and pulled me to the controls. I’ve loved the game ever since.

I’ll be damned. That is the EXACT model my family had when I was a kid. I cannot tell you the amount of goofy movies my friends and I made with that, a majority of which were cops vs drug dealer movies (it was the 80s). So many memories. #vhs #videocamera

It isn’t just animation parents make strange decisions about. I went to a premiere of an “hard-R” indy film a friend made about crime, drugs, prostitution, etc. Everyone attending knew what this movie was and yet I saw kids ranging from two to ten-years-old in the audience.

Suggestions I’ll bet didn’t get made: longer paid maternity leave, lower child care costs, increase in salaries to support children, and universal health care so even out-of-work mothers can be sure to have treatments for children.

Love this movie. It’s Red Dragon seen through a Miami Vice lens.

TikTok was one of the worst things that ever happened to my mental health. When I gave that up along with Facebook and Instagram, it was like coming off of a drug after years of addiction. I have a clarity of mind and a youthful spirit I haven’t had in a long, long time.
