Patching up the bare bits ground in The Garden Jungle has started now, in preparation for the Spring Flora and Fauna. This morning, 5kg of Mustard Seeds have been sown in patchy areas. This is commonly known as green manure and is great for adding nutrients back in the soil and for ground cover.

Hi all, to follow up with my previous post, I have now also planted 80 Broad Beans in pots which should be ready for planting out in about 6 weeks. Broad Beans are a favourite to be dug up by Blackbirds, Crows and Pigeons. So it’s best to start them off in pots and transplant the young plants.
