It's insane to me that the current administration is looking to cut the Department of Education. Do they not realize they are greatly reducing our "intellectual economy" and ability to innovate. There are 4 people in China for every US citizen. We are going to fall behind, very quickly.

Implementing all the above would save the government ~ $4.5trn over the next decade, more than what DOGE is targeting.
However, it is more likely they will not be acting in good faith, and will want quick 'wins' by dismantling key programs and enacting tax cuts for the rich.
Time will tell!
