And I’m torn for the cup final in a couple of weeks.
On one hand I definitely don’t want Liverpool to win but on the other I feel that Newcastle not winning a trophy is one of the key pillars on which English football is built upon.

With Idah, it’s hard to say whether its form, confidence, ability or application but I suspect when Jota is fully fit he’ll look back & regret he’s managed to pass up the opportunity to be first choice striker. He’s handed it to Maeda on a plate.

It’s his overall inconsistency of effort that’s his issue. Some days he’s at it. Some days he’s just not pressing or running enough.
Plus he gives the impression of thinking he’s better than he is. I don’t often feel he’s taking responsibility for his own performance.

Sure. But by the end it comes down to fresh legs.
Short in midfield, Schlupp could have come on for McGregor instead he had a poor game. Crosses into box in 2nd half & Idah already off so no one to challenge for headers.

Also I thought first half hour in particular was Engels best performance in a Celtic shirt.
So much so that Bayern starting putting Kimmich on him to stop him getting time on the ball 🍀
