I disagree 100% with this no educated use of AI for undergrads in 2025. They can clarify to themselves what they have to understand, drill into and read the supporting references, upping their education with such research. What they cannot do is foolishly submit the "AI work product" as their own.

The educated use of AI has to conform to Academic Policy. That should be in the orientation and warnings to every student. The "problem" though will start at a much younger age as students get passed through systemically on AI based work. Who has to adapt to who? Schools or students IFF AI is legal?

So next flu season, will flu shots be available in the US at all? No front line protection in hospitals might mean no anything at hospitals and of course that will cut costs ...

You can tell he is on the dividing side, dehumanizing other Americans to feed a false narrative of big US cities being all bad, the enemy from within.

Data sovereignty is one essential governance element. The ICC is an example of an entity residing in Europe governed by the UN. How it chose a non-ICC member state's SaaS or IaaS is a scandal it's IT management. If that was the only choice, it was not a valid path to take. ICC IT heads should roll.

The AI is too big to fail and yep, fracking analogy is great. The clash is with the US Constitution and copyright ultimately. Supremo's will rule soon enuf. Techbro's will wipe the US Constitution as it was once known. Creators will have 0 rights. Or get paid. My 54 words here absorbed or paid?

Israel at one level, appears to executing on Trumps' end state vision - The Abraham Accords of a "Gaza Riviera."
Is the same opprobrium going to be at the US here?
I did not think so.

PS before digging in, I read the article and found it "fishy". I know the kindness of Nova Scotians and frankly Albertans too. I know Alberta has higher incomes and more people with them. So I was suspect. Sorry.

By province average donation claim? High income Albertan's
donated the most to bring up the median (half above, half below) to make that province the most generous! (also highest income per capita province). Median sorted in second table.
PS no intention to rain on the NS parade.

Statistics Canada from 2023 T1 Individual tax data shows Nunavut at the top. Individuals donated $12,782,690,000.
The $3,576,542,708 in the article through CanadaHelps is a PR'd, all time number :(
PS surprised journalists' story did not do the StatCan thing or read the financial reports.

Prudent to have a skeptical eye. However, the object here is Carbon Brief as one of the best sources of such information on the planet. They have the context and contextual history from multi-years of study. It's their skepticism and credibility on the line. Not China's.

Next, trade weighted series of pie charts? Lot's of pie's coming is the only certainty while Admin wants revenue out of the tariffs but is too chicken to just do a sales tax otherwise.

Wait till the lowest cost producer SA realizes that there is no future in oil n gas and goes for market share. It's a matter of time as electrification progresses rather rapidly - outside the tariff walled US and who it can muscle along.
