This feels like he didn't talk to Iran at all and just hopes they go along with it.

Maybe if we put it in terms of October 7s people will start to care? You know like... "Israel has committed 79% of an October 7 against Iran so far." Just spit balling.

Yes, I believe we are on the same page here but we are talking past each other. 'Intifada' for most normies is associated with violence and has been co-opted as a "scary Muslim" word. The interviewer tied the three concept together and Brad referenced it being 'vague/unclear' it makes Z look bad.

It doesn't matter. When you do not distance the phrase from antisemitism immediately you give air to the masses that Zohran could be antisemitic. Antisemitism is off limits, but Islamaphobia is permitted. Not pushing back against the term 'intifada' gases up antisemitic narratives and helps Cuomo.

TL;DR: "Globalize intifada" is basically a call to resistance or a rebellion. Lander was asked about it in the context of antisemitism based off a slogan used in a protest by Zohran and Lander gave a typical liberal-zionist response.

Warren split the progressive vote and the resultant was the Biden administration which lead to the current state we are in now. Calling Warren amazing is shining a turd. Sure... she's done some okay stuff, but even a broken clock is right 2x a day.

Are you saying Warren backing Biden over Sanders didn't hurt leftist momentum?

This made me respect Lander a ton. I'm glad he isn't pulling a Warren and cannibalizing leftist momentum.

Content warning: blood, serious head injury. A woman was run down and trampled and clubbed by LAPD officers on horseback. She appears to be seriously injured and bleeding from the head as an officer drags her limp body along the pavement.

This is one of the seven signs right? A Republican going against like 50 years of state department foreign policy? Next is a plague of locusts, yeah?

I am highly skeptical of any project done on behalf of a US government entity leveraging our current capitalist-centric project dynamic. There's a very real reason China deployed 20 thousand km of HSR in a little over 7 years and California and Florida can barely manage a couple hundred miles.

The issue with leveraging contractors and the "public-private partnership" paradigm is that the pork is either partially or completely translated to profit. The US needs to drop this ridiculous system and just straight own the processes. Profits are not a sustainable metric of success.

It's wild that when government organizations apply oversight to get things like this done with fewer problems it's an issue, but when we throw billions at private corporations with little oversight and they fuck up repeatedly it's totally cool.

Ah, using the classic Ethan Klein "no you" defamation defense I see. Let's see how that plays out for Wu.

It's hard for me to feel any semblance of sympathy for a guy who basically handed the reigns of power to fascist billionaires. A man with an unparalleled ego who thought he was "owed" a position of power even though his body and his mind was essentially failing him. Clearly an effort to white wash.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is the obvious choice. No offense to Lander but Mamdani has the motion and not backing him would be similar to the repeated Bernie snubs... And just look at the fallout from those.

Democrats in 2021: Welp... the parliamentarian said no, so I guess we can't do anything.
Republicans literally any time the parliamentarian is a blocker: LOL, whatever nerd. Shut up and watch while we do this anyway.
Democrats are useless.

Corporations/capitalists owning single family homes is yet another contributor to making SHELTER, something that should be a human right, a commodity. This contributes to skyrocketing home prices and ultimately the homeless epidemic all to put more money in capitalist hands.
