Another problem I totally agree with is 3 ruining our happy endings with this what-if story that Sonic ‘06’s itself by the end. It was cynical, and I don’t like it in retrospect.

Xenoblade 3’s biggest mistake was bringing back some of the last two games’ most beloved characters and not fleshing out certain details. The more you think about it, the more it falls apart. The attention to detail is sooo much better in Future Redeemed, but not by much.
