It's okay if you do, just avoid doing it too often, my partner is really good at reminding me but you can also give yourself a treat whenever you brush your hair!?

Yea even though trimming feels counter productive getting rid of the dead ends helps your hair grow so fast!
And ooooo I'm not entirely sure if it does, but in my case, it has caused my hair to grow a lot faster and has become more silky and soft!

I've just been letting mine grow for about 2 years and its pretty far down my back now, My biggest tips are, To give them a small trim now and then and to wash it twice a week :3
My other tips are
Hair masks or coconut water
And hair and nail vitamins
