The self-titled debut album by Cousin Ben has just come out and is available to stream everywhere. I produced this record for my lovely old friend Ben and I played bass, piano and organ, as well as scoring the strings. Very proud of it. Check it out! cousinben1.Bandcamp.com

short break from Churches of Sussex for Churches of Greece, or more specifically the church in Glyfa / Γλύφα

There are two types of people in the world: people who fucking love maps, and people who don't.

Pootled over to Lewes to go to the flicks. St. Lawrence's is always locked, which is annoying as I know it's flipping lovely inside. Potentially a good choice for a zine but not if it's never open. Hey ho.

A very enjoyable listen about one the finest of Ealing comedies. I bloody love this film.

from the archives: themanfromicon.net/2016/06/26/t... (think i'll pop along to St. Lawrence's this morning)

Found a roll of exposed film in a drawer. Seems it's from a bike ride out to the Long Man from about 10 years ago.

@andybebop.bsky.social played a beautiful short acoustic set in Resident yesterday evening. Songs from all of the albums. Really rather lovely.

this evening's music choice strongly influenced by The Great Pottery Throwdown which we've been binge watching the last few weeks

It's a shame 7" singles are no longer a thing* cos I'd have bought this. youtu.be/QZHRegOddcQ?...

Latest @backlisted.bsky.social Locklisted episode has got name songs being trawled from the recesses of my mind. One from my teenage years which I loved even more because of The Ipcress File references youtube.com/watch?v=j-5y...

Just saw this at the flicks. Brilliant.

Lovely afternoon out in Rottingdean for the private view of the print show followed by a stroll around the village, a cream tea and a cracking new tea towel

I thought I was done with tiles and then I went to Chichester cathedral

Lovely. Although the "Emergency buckets: the decline Mid-century architecture" is the title of my PhD

The beautiful Basil Spence designed Meeting House at the University of Sussex. Unfortunately the John Piper designed tapestry below the organ wasn't in situ (guessing from buckets strategically placed on stairs it's been removed to protect it from a leaking roof)
