Yesterday, for a memorial concert, I sang "Precious Lord, Take My Hand." I am not religious, but I take the meaning of prayers to heart because the people who write them do believe. "Precious Lord" was written for MLK's funeral, and as I sang it, my soul wept for the dream we have lost.

Halani was always close friends with Tarquin, but they'd been estranged/distant since the job that chased her from Minrathous and brought her to Varric. They grew up together. Reconciling during VG was a relief. She considered Varric to be a friend as well, even though she hadn't known him long.

Enya is a skilled non-magical healer. Her mother was First of Clan Lavellan, and practiced both magical and non-magical healing to care for the clan. She often brought Isenril and Enya, her eldest two, to gather herbs and taught them how to set bones. After their deaths, Enya kept in practice.

I would REALLY like to stop quoting Solas when explaining how power and leadership work. I would like to stop having a reason to, but I guess thank you, Trick Weekes, for summing it up so beautifully. (I am familiar with the philosophies outside of the context of Dragon Age. It's just succinct.)

Oh. Similar the what the Nightmare would say to her: She is a fool for thinking that anyone in Thedas actually wants her help. They might want someone to come and save them, but the fact that it's her is an insult. She believes she has a right to lead, but the reminder it isn't shared is painful.
