Marijuana / hemp laws are weird but I'm glad that THC drinks are readily available in Texas these days. I don't buy them often, but they come in handy when I need to melt into a relaxing state.

Mostly for fun? Or for work? Any other time I'd be jealous but with the recent news, I'm a little nervous for you 🥲

That's fun! Handheld gaming reignited my enjoyment of gaming. When I bought my Switch years ago, it was so nice to pick up/put down whenever I wanted to. I also subscribe to GeForce Now when I want to do some PC gaming on my laptop. Cheaper than buying a gaming PC for me!

The sun is out and it’s no longer freezing here, but I’m still reporting from bed 🫡

Even though I tested negative for flu with an in-home test, I think I got hit with it because I was out for 36 hours. Had a cough and cruddy lung for a bit, a weird stomachache, fatigued as hell, couldn't focus. Grateful for DoorDash, Gatorade, and my wife who kept the dogs at bay while I napped.

My kingdom for a bi season! Honestly, after watching Are You the One season 8, any dating show with all straights is snoozeville

I thrive off helping others and feeling needed, but since taking a break, I've been working to get to this space. No doubt I learned a lot by working alongside others and dedicating my time and efforts towards shared goals, but I think doing things for myself and my enjoyment alone is important.

Another key thing about this that I am realizing is that I'm learning and making for myself. Not for someone else, not for an organization or community, just for me. I didn't go into it all with that mindset, but now that I am aware, it makes the successes even sweeter.

Someone on FB posted, “Many people I know couldn’t sleep last night because of the news” and I thought “oh boy, what’s the government doing now” but turns out it was just related to Dallas Mavericks trading Luka Doncic 😐

I’m down with Nintendo and cats! Also trying to distract myself from that fine line you mentioned by learning skills in hopes I can put them to use to help others. But also lots of video games.

aghghgh, one of the many, many reasons people don't seek healthcare! I went to a doc this week that had God stuff everywhere but thank goodness he didn't say anything about it or else I'd be in the same boat Bonus: As I was leaving his office, I noticed the 'live, laugh, love' sign on the exit door

Retire early! In this economy??? 😅 But yeah, I get it. I love it when people are like, "Don't like it here? Then move!" because believe me, I'd like to! Would love a break from a state that hates the existence of most of its citizens... well, except now we have the federal govt to worry about now.

Thanks for the suggestion! What I was really digging on Substack (which some users hate) was the Notes section and also getting to DM/group chat with subscribers. Haven't heard of any alternatives with those features yet.

One of the suburbs right next to ELP, like Santa Teresa. It’d be like Plano is to Dallas, but without the shame of living in Texas proper. 🥲 We have friends in Las Cruces (which is quaint but too small for us), so we’re focusing on the west side of El Paso.
