May 23, 1963: Twilight Zone wraps Season 4 with its last hour-long episode, "The Bard." A hack TV writer (Jack Weston) uses black magic to conjure the ultimate ghostwriter: William Shakespeare (John Williams). It's no classic, but seeing Burt Reynolds do Marlon Brando *is* fun.

May 20, 1960: Twilight Zone's "A Passage for Trumpet" airs. A depressed musician attempts suicide, then gets a new perspective on life from an angel who knows music well. Written by Rod Serling. Stars Jack Klugman and John Anderson. Both would eventually star in four TZs.

May 19, 1994: CBS airs "Twilight Zone: Rod Serling's Lost Classics," with 2 stories Carol Serling found after her husband's death. Richard Matheson scripted the 1st, "The Theatre," from a Serling outline. The 2nd, "Where The Dead Are," was a complete script Serling wrote in 1968.
