Not sure if these shows are available in the UK (and elsewhere). I guess if you do a search for “The Theatre” and “Where the Dead Are,” they might come up.

I know! Hate how these things aren’t universally available. :(
I used to just share links without any caveats or specs, but I try to always say now if it’s US, so my dear followers outside the U.S. don’t feel misled.

You can watch them both on YouTube (in the U.S., anyway): youtu.be/5w-C79BhHdo?... and youtu.be/W40e_zFMZzY?...

So cool, right? I still find some surprising connections at times.

Looks good. Do you know offhand if this is streaming somewhere?

Me too! Which is probably why they seemed to hire so many grandmothers. It was the only way to get things done! 😆

One of my favorite whodunits!

Saw the trailer the other day. Looks great!

Saw this episode quite recently! We’ve been on a series rewatch of late, and this one came up just a couple episodes ago. Good stuff. :)

Always! 😁

So good! First the drums, then the keyboard, then Stevie singing, and it’s like “this can’t get any better” … and the horns come in. Friggin’ PERFECTION.

Gotcha. I sometimes have people assume my page is run by her, so when it sounded like you were calling me Anne, I thought I’d better mention that.

It’s easy to make that mistake. Often autocorrect is at fault!
Btw, this isn’t Anne. (Check my bio.) She has her own page at @anneserling.bsky.social, which is certainly worth a follow. :)

But hey, if you and Mom are TZ fans, and the rest of the family won't get mind you pausing the day's festivities to catch a few eps, here's the schedule: www.syfy.com/schedule

A mixed bag, to be sure: thenightgallery.wordpress.com/2021/09/01/a... I think it would have been notably better had Serling himself written it.

Boy, do those bring back memories!
I wrote the first draft of many papers by hand on a yellow legal pad, made a bunch of corrections, then typed them on an actual typewriter. So charmingly anachronistic!

Aww, thanks — and yes! I’ll use a phrase or some expression from a TZ, and then I’ll think, “Nobody is going to get this.” 😜

“Sounds and Silences,” “Miniature,” and “A Short Drink from a Certain Fountain.”

I suspect Rod Serling would have agreed with you! Even though he often wrote about tough subjects, he was very prolific and seemed to relish getting various projects done.

This is the only time on TZ that aliens arrive with beneficent intentions.

I wish it was something we could all readily watch, but like a lot of the live teleplays of the mid to late ‘50s, it’s almost impossible to find.
Some of Serling’s most notable teleplays from this era are on disc or YouTube, but many can be found only in university collections, if at all.

Wish she could have directed more!

Couldn’t agree more. Corman deserved more respect.
