I find this phenomenon fascinating. It's almost certainly a myriad of factors but instinctively I feel it is less to do with culture or circumstance of age and more to do with the way music reacts with our brain whilst it is still developing.

Keep this in mind when people claim cars mean business — closing Central #Madrid to cars over holidays resulted in a 9.5% boost in retail spending on its main shopping street: STUDY. There was also a 71% drop in air pollution. Via @carltonreid.com in @forbes.com. #citymakingmath #citiesforpeople

I'm sorry but menus like this are absolutely rage inducing

millennials please. please stop this. we were supposed to be better than this

I have wondered when we will hear the first major story of some calamitous mistake because someone took Chat GPT's word as gospel

"We wanted to see Hayes electrical substation which is famous not just in Europe, but in the whole world"

The abundance of Klarna is the sign of an ill society, but honestly I think a bigger problem is how normalised ordering food to your home has become. It's absurdly expensive, often doesn't travel well and people are being convinced it's normal to do it 3/4/5 times a week. Cook!

Last month I did a little experiment. I wanted to see how the exact same post would perform on both X (Twitter) and Bluesky. The results were...interesting... [Thread]

I know we're entering a new world order and all that but just so say that FKA twigs new album is really really good

Usually when websites are down and everyone thinks it's a cyber-attack it's often something infinitely more boring. But just as Teslas are now targets, bringing down Twitter is an extremely obvious target to annoy Elon.

I just ordered an ale at a Spoons in Blackpool and it was £1.49... I genuinely thought there had been a mistake. I honestly can't remember the last time I paid that little for a pint. Cheers

I find this chart so depressing and I think it's incredibly easy to downplay the future ramifications. Socialising as a teenager, when our brains are still developing, is such a fundamental part of shaping who we are - gaining confidence, learning social cues, building resilience.

We live in incredibly uncertain times. Just a reminder that very few of us have the mental capacity to worry about climate change, the end of the Western alliance and the dangers of AI individually, let alone all three combined. Disconnect. Give yourself time to do things you love.

I'll absolutely take the three points but wow, think #rufc fans have every right to feel hard done by. Officiating in this league is so poor, just lovely to be on the right side of it for a change #readingfc

Mushrooms are everywhere for those with eyes to see #fungifriends

You cannot convince me that this little sleep over such a long period of time is a positive trait for a man with so much power. Musk is either on drugs or delirious

I refuse to believe that putting a giant screen in a public green space is a net benefit to society

I have so many concerns and reservations about AI but we do have to accept it's not going anywhere. With that in mind I feel much more comfortable with a European model being the most used than a US or god forbid a Chinese one. If people are gonna use a LLM tell them to use Mistral

The markup on some things at the airport is just criminal sometimes What do you mean a USB c plug is £25

I dunno man... I just don't think a ketamine laced billionnaire and his maths interns should be messing around with the payment system of the largest economy in the world that's all

Rachel Reeves has finally found the anti-growth coalition: bats and newts

The normality of it all is just wonderful

Biden pre-emptively pardoning his family so so bad. What sort of precedent does this set? The pardon system has been weaponised beyond any sense a rationale or reasonability. The US has lost the rule of law.

I have numerous concerns with this 2nd Trump Presidency but my two main ones are: 1) After he pardons everyone who participated in Jan 6th, his worst supporters will feel they have a carte blanche to do what they want without retribution 2) His greed and volatile behaviour crashes the economy

Tallinn airport has your back

I really warmed to Dan, his honesty was refreshing. He's right it is a selfish game, people saying they need people they can 100% trust are deluding themselves. #thetraitors

Trump says he's changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America

Zuckerberg is really scared of Trump huh

I've bought this small dehumidifier which completely unnecessarily has a disco lights setting and I love it

Spectacularly awful
