It’s funny. One pattern I told myself I was going to drop was “One day at a time” as that’s how I got through 2020.
It may well still be a useful maxim, but I don’t want it to be paired with an existence that is merely reacting to the world.

Yeah I will sometimes talk to the GPS directions: “oh you want me to turn left across three lanes of traffic near rush hour? That’s cute.” and find my own way to a traffic light against its protestations.

Halfway through Moby Dick as an audiobook now, but the demand for it at the library is enough that I may tackle the back half as just the book.
I listened to audiobooks for two Neal Stephenson novels earlier this year, they clocked in at 24 hours a piece. Moby Dick by comparison is about 29.
