Very cool! When I watch the ball I see it rise and fall, but when I watch the shadow I see it rotating.

A local library here has a bin for batteries. Not sure how widespread of a practice that is, but maybe worth a shot.

I want to be judgmental about this, but I’m actually so intrigued. The idea of shuffling the first play through would never occur to me. How / why / when did you start listening this way?

I do this more often than I’d like to admit.
A professor once told me that you never really know what you think about something until you write it out.
I think what’s satisfying to me usually isn’t making some public statement or argument, but getting clarity around my own thoughts.

I’m 15 minutes in and if I had to slap a label on it I’d probably call it drone.
The noise kind of functions as a drone, and I never thought it was too harsh to fall outside of what would be called ambient.
The section starting around 13:00 I’d probably call dark ambient / drone.
Cool stuff!

I’m close to doing the same, but pulling the trigger on a big purchase is so difficult!
10 years with a laptop is a perfectly valid timeframe for updating.
