Pushed a couple miles more today than I originally intended but managed to accomplish something anyway. First 10 mile run in several years. Kinda slow for now but I’m sure I’ll get my pace back in the weeks or months to come

This is Ripley. He was nervous about taking the stairs. May have panicked a bit. 12/10

Had to go back through Seattle today and snapped this shot from a vantage point I had not noticed the other day

Definitely my favorite building in Seattle, taken earlier today

Sigh, another radio budget casualty per this email from Radio Free Asia, one of the best QSL responders in recent times

I swear I’ve been feeling like Icarus lately. Not sure if I’m flying too close to the sun or just suffering from intense doubt though

Up restless again for the umpteenth night out of at least the last 60. Just about to fall asleep when the anxiety about my family’s future (all women except me) pulled me back to wide awake. Guess I’m all woke again this evening.

Voice of America is silent. I remember in the Cold War when the Soviet Union wanted nothing more than to silence the Voice of America. Today's the day it happened.

On another sad day in a series of sad days, it looks they’ve killed off VOA. The Voice of America and associated radio broadcasters have long been a substantial projection of America’s soft power globally and service to many underserved. Honestly expected it might become total propaganda. Maybe not

well you know what, three years ago today I ran eleven and a half miles at a pace of 10:00/mi and today I ran two miles in half mile increments with two minute walking breaks but I share this for anybody who's climbing back up a hill they already climbed once. we'll get there & it'll feel good

When people see the maple leaf, they see possibility. They see freedom. They see a helping hand. They see Canada, and the best of our values. Happy 60th to our flag. 🇨🇦

In honor of World Radio Day (a day late, apparently)here are a few QSL cards

World Radio Day.

Guess I should post something here. Probably won’t see much of that from me. But who knows? Here’s a couple hiking pics from this past, chilly PNW weekend.

Dear people who don’t use the Oxford comma: It’s never too late to do the right thing. Everyone makes mistakes, and we shouldn’t be judged solely by our pasts. What matters is the here and now. So come over to the right side of history for a fresh, new, and beautiful beginning.
