I may not be as smart or as learned or as socially and politically conscious or as charismatic or as witty or as pretty as many here but, I...I...hmm.. ...hang on for a bit...I'll try to come up with SOMETHING... Um Uh Somethingsomethingfullofheart?

Happy Juneteenth

I think there should be a trans milestone celebration at 7 years on HRT when your body has replaced all of its cells with new ones, so almost nothing remains from pre-HRT. We could call it your Theseus Day.

I am both slightly disturbed and somewhat amused that despite my silent vow years ago to try not drape myself with Pride-everything, it keeps multiplying - rings, pendants, belts, t-shirts, etc. Sometimes it feels like I'm "trying too hard" but fuckit, some things do call out to me.

Exist. Survive. Resist and defy. Find or create joy. Find each other. Look out for each other and build each other up. Build connection. Build community. Make a better world for those who follow.

My advice to trans people, get out while you can. It won't get better within at least two decades and most likely will only get worse. Your job is solely to survive. nonprofitquarterly.org/trans-refuge...

Keeping it real this whole time.

We have GOT to stop electing businessmen to office.

incredible this FDA let it through, but not going to complain, this is great

Finished the Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. A huge lit-brick to tote around but a good read with actual characters. The sapphic love scenes did make my heart ache with longing.

the thing that kills me about all this the thing i can’t think abt without breaking down is that we all have this kid inside of us right, pleading for help from the ppl we loved & we trusted, & most of us never got it but we should have, & our kids should, & instead it’s just more needless suffering

The NYT was cited in the Supreme Court ruling used to strip trans people of healthcare. This is EXACTLY WHY the “just asking questions” crowd of centrist edgelord journalists are dangerous. They launder transphobia through faux neutral “debate” and act like it’s intellectual curiosity

I had a pretty miserable childhood and adolescence for a bunch of reasons, but especially including knowing *something was wrong*. Where I lived, at the time, there was NO information, much less representation about trans folks and possibilities. I am still not sure how I am alive today. 🧵

if you are a sci-fi/fantasy writer it is your mission to carry on the legacy of your forebears and do at least one weird thing with gender and sexuality in your writing

No, the Skirmetti decision is not "limited" and is not an excuse for transmedicalism or throwing nonbinary people or people who don't or can't medically transition under the proverbial bus.

All in favour?

Damn it. I am so, so sorry, America. The kids deserve so much better than this.

Oh look. Another "Gender Critical" myth about trans healthcare, for which they have no evidence at all, disproven via study. When we all knew it was false all along anyway

Just saw my endo, things are going well. And...she agreed to help me start the process for getting approval for bottom surgery. Scary and so very exciting. Many many steps and hoops to go but...this first step was a big one.

Every time I say I don't see a lot of trans women my age or older, someone responds by saying that they actually exist in great numbers, they're just socially integrated and stealth. And maybe that's true, but it really only drives home that you don't see a lot of trans women my age or older.

TW: harm to children. My research into the effects of the UK government puberty-blocker ban has finally been published after peer-review. It details the severe harm being caused to young trans people & children by the Starmer government's puberty-blocker ban. Unlike Cass it is peer reviewed...

this report from media matters is fucking wild. fox news has aired 424 segments about trans athletes since feb 5. the week democrats vetoed the GOP trans sports ban bill, they aired 59 segments. www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/fox...
