Direction that was a complete free for all mixed with hiring artists who were talented but didn't know how to draw Sonic. Ngl I kinda miss it.

The original film only lightly implies this, the bigger focus is the similarities between the two mains (cuz duh) so the material's right there. Take advantage of that extra runtime to flesh things out more.

They're dropping permanent licenses??? What the actual shit. I'm glad I bought a copy years ago but why do companies keep doing this, people hate it.

Welp, guess I gotta make more stuff QUICK.

oh also if you need a visa, I know diplomas help alot with that which is fair.

WITH ALL THAT SAID THOUGH, I honestly think you can still learn plenty by either purchasing or registering for online courses. They're far cheaper and you'll get a ton out of it. Art school, money aside, I'd recommend specifically if you want something more in depth as well as the social life.

I even remember being upset back then I didn't get into one of the more well known animation schools like Sheridan, but now I'm so glad I was able to have a space to just do art without worrying about having to pay it off in my adult years, esp with a career as fickle as ours.

It wasn't all perfect, some classes I still think were completely pointless and had horrible teachers. Others though like Art History felt really boring to me at the time, but now I look back and appreciate alot of what I learned about eras/styles, makes you appreciate the humanity behind art.

Back when I was in school I was pretty frustrated there was so little focus on animation since that's what I wanted to pursue, but in hindsight I'm really glad there was such a push to understand stuff like form, structure, lighting etc cause it's helped a ton throughout my career.

Is the hockey mask not enough of a universal image for the character? Esp for branding or whatever lmaoo.

I genuinely didn't think it was possible to make a hockey mask wearing serial killer look so bland, but here we are.

The only thing that's kept this studio afloat is the creatives, and they're still treated like shit decades later, creating either bad blood, losing tons of money from it, or both. It's like the studio heads have the brains of literal Goldfish.
