It just dawned on me, while listening to talks about the cuts to Medicaid…. The Medicaid recipients receive the medical care. The hospitals and doctors receive the Medicaid funds. The absence of funding is actually going to harm the medical community just as much.

The heartbreaking statement from Jonathan Joss’s husband about his death.

This man, who has human rights lawyer in his Twitter biog!, is hoping that Israel attacks the flotilla & hurts (kills?) my Zeteo colleague, & legendary activist, Greta Thunberg. To call this tweet disgusting & violent would be an understatement. But they keep telling on themselves:

This is the kind of sweeping, truth-telling journalism we need more of. Good job, AP.

The broligarchy strikes again. South African billionaire Peter Thiel's Palantir. This is the dude who groomed and hand delivered JD Vance to the white house. It's all a big grift at our expense.

Republicans are gutting public school funding. Why? Sure, part of it is to transfer more wealth to the top, but Republicans know an educated citizenry opposes them. Don't believe me? Ask Karl Rove: #HandsOffPublicSchools

Hey @nytimes.com and @washingtonpost.com post How about “Trump Posts Unhinged Rant on Memorial Day, Attacking Biden, Judges, Immigrants and Democrats-Further Demonstrating His Cognitive Decline” Or do you just intend to sane wash us all the way into tyranny

Trump and Speaker Johnson say they’re not cutting Medicaid. David Sacks is the latest to admit they are. Because they are. By almost $1 Trillion. #TrumpsTrillionsTransfer www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

NYT: “Justin Sun was there — Singapore-based crypto exec spent $100 MILLION+ to buy into Trump ventures… an SEC investigation into him is now put on hold… an inflection point — You can now personally pay a 🇺🇸 president to gain an audience…” www.nytimes.com/2025/05/23/u...

From the ambush of South Africa’s president, to his ugly assault on a WH reporter, to a kowtowing GOP making the rich richer and the poor poorer and sicker, to the escalating war against Harvard & higher ed: We must not be numbed by the flood of outrages. www.americaamerica.news/p/how-much-m...

Do you ever think about the great things America could do if we focused our energy on common good rather than corporate greed?

🤷🏼‍♂️

Eddie Vedder goes off in Pittsburgh, passionately defending @brucespringsteen.net against Trump’s attacks on free speech. @pearljam.com 🙏

Republicans' scorched-earth budget sacrifices our public lands for billionaire tax cuts. Their efforts put at risk: 🏣 60,000+ good-paying clean energy jobs 🌳 13.5 million acres of public lands 🐆 Countless protections for endangered species We MUST put a stop to this madness.

Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” isn’t just about tax cuts it quietly guts federal protections and reshapes entire agencies. Here’s what’s buried inside:

It’s 10 pm on a Sunday night and Republicans on the Budget Committee are cutting food assistance, health care, and access to education to give billionaires a tax break.

Republicans are voting tonight at 10PM—in the dead of night—on their Big Bad Billionaire Bill: $1.1 trillion in tax cuts for the rich paid for by Medicaid cuts and hungry children. They hope you won’t notice. But we will call out Republican’s betrayal of America’s families.

In a letter to a top U.S. diplomat, U.K. officials voiced concerns about SpaceX’s plans to fly its Starship 9 rocket over British territories in the Caribbean, where debris fell after two of the company's rockets exploded. On Thursday, the FAA approved the launch anyway.

🚨Rep. Mike Levin exposes secret provisions in the GOP’s budget like Tax Free Gun Silencers. 😳

Russell Vought, acting head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has canceled plans to introduce new rules designed to limit the ability of US data brokers to sell Americans’ most sensitive data, credit history, and Social Security numbers.

say it again: 4 million people work in higher ed, the largest employer in 10 states, second largest employer in 10 more, and in 60 of the 100 biggest cities ROI for NIH and NSF for local economies is conservatively 4x, often close to 10x demolishing higher education is economic sabotage

Impact of GOP tax bill by annual income: 17K to 51K: -$700 4.3 million or more: +$389,000

Sure, let’s dissect the mental and physical acuity of the former president who sought to make lives in America better while minimizing the reality of a deranged arsonist dismantling the country we’ve known and loved. What a failure to meet this moment.

For the first time in modern US history, Moody’s has downgraded the United States credit rating from Aaa to Aa1. A direct consequence of economic mismanagement & tariff terrorism by Trump and the GOP, which will lead to higher interest rates on mortgages, credit cards, car loans, and student loans.

Trump is literally taking credit for things that were announced when Biden was still in office.

“This is so that people making over $1 million… can get a $90,000 average tax cut.” — @jonfavs.bsky.social Republicans in Congress want to cut Medicaid, raise health costs, and take food from kids—all to give millionaires and billionaires a tax break. We won't let them. #ProtectMedicaid

After the trade talks with the UK and China: 1. The average tariff rate in the U.S. is 17.8%, the highest since 1934 2. The Trump import tariffs will cost the average family around $2,800 per year 3. It's a bigger share of the budgets of low-income folks budgetlab.yale.edu/research/sta...

Oh really? I can think of some lawyers and judges who would also like to see that documentation.

Don’t look away. This is what Libya’s migrant detention facilities look like. This is what Trump is doing. Amnesty International called Libya’s migrant detention centers a “hellscape,” where beatings and sexual violence are rampant and there are many reports of trafficking and even slavery.

RFK Jr. went on Fox News and lied through his teeth. He said they weren’t cutting critical research. Terminated grants so far have included studies on cancer, Alzheimer’s, HIV, and tuberculosis. Ohio researchers lost funding for kidney disease and TB projects. This guy doesn’t care about health.

This is what the start of an economic collapse looks like. #BlameTrump

1. Trump says imposing tariffs on nearly every nation on earth is essential to force companies to make investments in the US instead of abroad But since taking office, the Trump Organization has announced new multi-billion $ development deals in the UAE, Qatar, India and Vietnam And NONE in the US

He stood there on Jan 20 and falsely mouthed the words to protect and defend our Constitution. Asked now on Meet the Press if he thinks he needs to uphold the Constitution, he says, “I don’t know.” Translation: No. Woe to America and the utter failure of putting this man back in our Oval Office.

I’m still baffled at how America took one of the basic principles of the presidency — the occupant shouldn’t be able to benefit financially from the office — and just said, nah, that just doesn’t count for this one guy.

Shipping company says it is going to buy $20 million worth of Trump's meme coin as a way to influence tariff policy: "We believe that the addition of the Official Trump tokens [is] an excellent way... to advocate for fair, balanced, and free trade between Mexico and the US"

This story is 1 of the most important stories you'll read. When a government is so emboldened as to start going after private citizens that it disagrees with and harassing them in a multitude of legal and administrative ways that is very dangerous for our democracy. We are next. Speak out!

“One moment, he’s the master of the universe…The next moment, he’s a very smol bean working with limited knowledge and a limited toolset, and why are you bullying him by asking him whether the law requires him to give hearings to deportees?”

Paul Weiss and the firms that settled should be ashamed.👇 "These are big boys. These are the biggest, most powerful lawyers. These are not people that are easily intimidated. And they paid hundreds of millions of dollars because I guess they probably felt they did something wrong." --Donald Trump
