A very muddled take on intersectionality and respecting other cultures. I muted them.

That sounds like it would produce something roughly equivalent to charcoal briquettes 🧐

Not so much no.

Why all the noise if they weren’t going to put it on the record?! Argh!

When I registered I thought ā€œmy current doctor is in a different cityā€ was valid. Apparently it’s not. It also takes at least two hours out of a day for me to see my current GP in person because they are in Richmond.

Sometimes I wish I was a time traveler from 1995 watching all this!

I am having trouble seeing the strategic value of such a move at the moment. It seems to be all downside. :/

There’s the usual price fixing of course but it was along these lines: - contract/bundle price: $119 - month to month price: $240 I had to tell an AI chatbot I was calling to cancel for each service before it would let me through to a human…

If you find yourself in Vancouver for whatever reason I live right next to Koreatown and an H-Mart šŸ˜„

That said my apartment is visible peeking out from behind one of the towers in the first photo!

My immediate gripe with City of Lougheed is how wide that street is at the moment - but hopefully the next phases will revise it.

If I can keep my job through the hatchet man period at work I’ll be good, but if not there will at least be severance. The job I had before I would have to get a lawyer for that…

I am pondering switching to Jellyfin but there’s a lot of socialization to do if I go that route

Even Plex has already tried a thing where if you have media they also have, they would divert you to their version with ads.

This moment brought to you by someone asking why Alberta separatism is such a big deal in tutorial

I still don’t answer calls from the last two because they read as scams. This is problematic given my home phone is a 236 number…

The last time I took this it gave me Odo. This time it was a character from The Room and I took that personally

This reminded me of the totally incongruous experience that was a direct dial pulse dialing phone we had in my childhood. You’d expect the tones, but no, you’d get a series of bass ā€œticksā€ and it was somehow slower than a rotary phone to use

I did wind up with a Hotmail account by way of middle school though. I couldn’t check it unless I went to the city library for a few years.

Thinking back it is _wild_ that my middle school even had an internet connection. It took until high school before my household even got a dial-up modem (and by that time cable internet was a thing)

It was bad enough when I put down Jedi Survivor. Inaccessibility masquerading as game design sucks
comment in response to post
I hate that inaccessibility as a game mechanic continues to be so ā€œpopularā€

Dyson Sphere Program used AI voices to redub the English. It got uninstalled after it exhorted me to start building Tourettes. >_>

I find myself wondering if the CPC will fracture back into Reform and the PCs somewhat more often with news like this

The new bike. When I saw they had donut themed bells I had to get one. Fenders are in transit and I am researching hitch mount bike racks because it barely fit in the car.

I had to take a break after episode 8, that was brutal.

Clip is missing some context for me to figure out where the hell that came from but the greens stay weird, huh. Not to say I oppose being composted but huh. Weird look.
