If a philosophy professor is screaming that they're stuck in a locker, and there is no one around to hear it, do they actually make any noise?

I assume you've never read Jingo because "Let the other guy be a bastard, don't just assume the bad guys are your own side" is a massive chunk of that book.
In Star Trek it's exemplified throughout the whole dominion war arch, especially the episodes about the Jem Hadar. Not everyone wants peace.

The problem with this analogy is sometimes their leader is a cruel despot, sometimes their ways are savage, it's not a hard and fast rule that it's all in your head.

Close, very close, but I am going to chalk this up to the noted American failures at spelling and decide we were probably thinking the same thing.
Just one letter out.

That's cool, so you're essentially abstracting hit location into the degress of success because you'd assume people would go for the unarmoured part of a person if they can? Better a person is at attacking more likely they are to hit an armoured place.
Reminds me of WFRP/DH but faster.

5 or 6, depending on taste. They take some time to get built up after release, so don't pin yourself to 7 when it's first released, it'll need time for patches, updates, fixes etc just like the previous titles.

Unironically it's mostly sea shanties and irish folk punk. Don't judge.

Would it add new chapters to the Geneva Convention though?

Unironically - too many items, or whatever the equivalent is now. Just decide the point you want to start from, spawn yourself a starter kit to get there, continue.

I agree entirely down to the last line, at which point I agree in theory. I will say that plots that only work because multiple characters act in an obtusely stupid way annoy me.
(Not me sitting on my bed shouting at Abigail for not calling Thomas the Tank Destroyer first.)

It's less a movie, more a neverending roller coaster. Just because this is a relatively steep bit, and before it was relatively cheap, doesn't mean this is the climax.

Honestly, I think that has more to do with rare earth metals. Considering the fact that he told Zelensky today that his support for Ukraine was contingent on Ukraine supplying rare earths... And if the US owned Greenland he could give himself all the best mining contracts.

I'd like to say I've been enjoying Planetside recently but no, that's just suffering with a Stockholm syndrome attached. It's an abusive partner I can't quit.
HBS Battletech however I've been enjoying a lot! Great story, challenging, thought-out gameplay and lots of freedom.

It's fair to gush about it, it is a very well-made game. I'm not even a huge fan of the Forgotten Realms setting but the quality of BG3 absolutely blew me away.

Any ideas which story you're going to do first?

Was literally going to suggest SWTOR. Everyone knows it's a dating sim with extra steps. The gameplay isn't the best imo, old fashioned 'rhythm game' button mash, though not as bad as WoW or Guild Wars, but the story and characters are great.

*I get you probably mean single player indie games, but yeah, games where the 'content is other people'... I love them and want to wave a small flag for them.
**Also as my second defence Foxhole is definitely an Indie game.

This is why I love Planetside 2 and Foxhole. The game loop is entirely dependent on other people, the story writes itself as you go. There's always a new friend to meet, a new toxic twat to be your enemy, a new and totally unique moment to seize. That keeps me going.
We need a new MMOFPS game.

Two total opposites. Golfie, I got it in humble bundle, its such an incredibly frustrating game that it drowns out all other feelings of frustration and anxiety.
And Planetside 2, so I can just forget the world and fall into the rhythm of blood for the blood god, blood for the blood god, blood...

What are you trying to build a world for?
I love world building but I find it helps a lot to define a rough target you're going for. Not 'I want to do this exact thing', I get what you mean about modify, but 'I want this image in my head to be possible' 'I want to explore that' etc.

worst it can get. It's not arrived, yet, there is still time.
The reason I am saying this, other than being a smart arse, is as a reminder to defend what you still have. You are not a beaten people resisting in whispers. People's have undergone much worse and triumphed, so will you.

I'm probably going to get shouted down for this but no, it's not. If it was fascism you'd be on your way to a camp after writing that.
BUT it is heading in the direction of fascism. Elements of 1984 are already leaking into people's heads. Don't think it can't get worse. That you're already at the

Authoritarianism can't survive long-term in a world where liberalism exists and information moves freely.
I think they realised that around 2014, and call me a conspiracy theorist but I think there has been some kind of plan since then.
