Why reality should not be this negotiable. At this point, they're sounding less like arguments and more like a wish list.

Margaret Thatcher fan, a couple other iffy affiliations and statements, only one to hint she's not necessarily crazy about their status as lgbtq+ icons... it's quiet stuff and probably best looked up and decided upon for yourself.

I've seen people bring up Rowling, when sharing Spice Girls' activism, I presume because it felt like a refreshing counterpoint. And Arnold vs Sly have always been the action king of the 80s battle.
But for me, that's just *some* of the objections my mind throws up, as reality continues to bend...

JK Rowling sucks and The Spice Girls (sans Ginger) are awesome? Not the biggest thing 9 y/o me got wrong.
Neil Gaiman's a creep and Dav Pilkey is mature? Can't judge a proverbial book by its cover!
Stallone is a sellout shill + hack and Arnold's on a wholesome redemption arc? Ok NOW I'm losing it.

Ever see the 70s version? He and his wife are ADORABLE, in that one - which ends up being tragic, but they nail his "not a hero - just a guy desperate to save a loved one" vibe, there.

Apparently the director seized upon his "can't rule out a script of actual gold" comment, printed out Carey's copy in gold ink, and just let him go to town in every way he wanted on Robotnik Sr., after selling him on exactly that.

If Nosferatu continues and solidifies the trend of 1 new masterpiece, every 50 years, I might just have my new favorite horror franchise.

At least if/when Bluesky gets to rival-app size, I say bail and let it become Truth Social 2.0 - a failing lost cause.
