But only for some people, not all.

Good luck. Moving can be stressful so I hope it’s uneventful.

Are these the same democrats that lost Roe vs Wade, affirmative action, and the Supreme Court? Cuz if we we need some new ones.

I also think Box is a big deal. They are just plugging away. Running a good business.

I agree Aaron @levie.bsky.social is totally legit

Agree on the those two. However Mitch is from the earlier era. A lot of his contemporaries (Ted Schlein for example) just went for the $

I think you could check #reddit and the dumpster fire of the service fka as #twitter to get that perspective. We had Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and maybe early Larry and Sergey. Not great role models but also not all about the money.

People who really lake empathy, compassion and an understanding of the greater good.

Silicon Valley native here. I think money has been a major part and not just a byproduct. However I do think the creative part has been supplanted by the acquisition of wealth, status and influence. And that has attracted the type of people we see running #meta #square #openai and the like.

Been outside the country. It is better.

I have no hate. Just a realization of what's up and the resources to remove myself.

I believe my ancestors would say, “good job accumulating enough wealth to leave this place that has oppressed generations” The circus is the government and the monkeys are politicians. Nice way to center your whiteness tho. Another reason I’m out.
comment in response to post
Not my circus, not my monkeys.

Dude, I’m Black! This place has been terrible for the majority of me and my ancestors history here. You fix this dumpster fire. I’m out!

I 1000% agree that is SHOULD be that way. But it's not. And I am over hoping it ever will be.

The problem is america is not founded on basic human rights. The documents you referenced were not for indigenous people, Enslaved people, women, and anyone else who was not from Europe and male.

What a complete ass! I mean it's called the Climate Crisis for a reason. Not a get rich to insulate yourself crisis.

And if you shouted down the protesters you are complicit.

Another example of how the Biden admin fumbled away so much opportunity. With assistance from Schumer and Pelosi.

You voted to confirm little marco. So we know what you have done.

Who are we as a country and what values do we stand for? The answer is obvious but y’all are in denial. You presume that it can be fixed but it’s been broken for a long time. MAGA is just moving faster to kill what was already dying.

As a Black person that has had government weaponized against them for more of their life than not, I’m not made about the destruction. I’m mad about the people being harmed but that’s it. I’m just sitting back and watching chickens coming home to roost.

Y’aBy actively choosing not to address the many grievances about bloated and inefficient government, the left opened the door for the type of fuckery that’s happening now. So yes there are institutions that are well functioning. And they are being sacrificed due to incompetence and corruption

I’d like to see proof

Your analogy makes no sense. Let me try. A convicted arsonist moved into the neighborhood and the people who are supposed to keep him in check decided to sit and watch him burn everything down. Should I be mad at the arsonist or the people who did not do their job watching him?

Incompetence and complicity has a price. FAFO
comment in response to post
Yes it’s dumb but totally expected from this group of people. Nothing makes sense unless you view this as a way to dominate the news cycle. After all no one is reporting on the Signal story anymore.

I mean.. they have acknowledged it's real. We are getting to see a level of incompetence that rivals anything I have seen in #SiliconValley

Most gas stations are mini superfund sites. It’s going to take billions to clean them up and remediate the land. And yes, that discussion should start yesterday.
