Why do people keep lying to themselves and repeat “Everything will be okay, it’ll get easier” when we know it’ll be harder? I know the lie’s more comfortable than the truth, but if not faced, you’ll suffer longer and harder until you admit the truth and adapt to it. Don’t die wrapped in lies.

I do wish this app had more features implemented by now. Mainly the ability to send pictures in DMs and to post video. But even though they’re not here yet I do like how this place is coming along. Seeing it slowly but surely build. Now I just have to learn a bit more about under the hood stuff.

Another day in Mississippi, and my mother proves herself to be just as backward, bigoted, and specifically transphobic as the rest of my family. I still have to live with these people and I hate it. I try to teach them to not fall into the backward bigotry, yet they’re too stubborn to improve.

Wanted to use Twitter for building internet presence and post there with the other socials, but since the 2022 buyout I said fuck it with everyone else and waited for alternatives. I like Mastodon but don’t know about using it much. Got and ditched Threads. Think this’ll work well if not the best.
