Share, share, share. The man is a national menace. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/14/t...

What happened in the Oval Office today was a complete and utter disgrace. After serving this country in uniform for over twenty years, I am both sickened and embarrassed by what these two jackasses are doing to America.

Gene Hackman and Spencer Tracy: You could never catch either one of them acting…ever. Hackman was the finest actor of his generation as Tracy was of his. We will not see his like anytime soon.

Another ancillary benefit of MAGA: Having a moron in charge of the nation’s health care www.cnn.com/2025/02/27/h...

A day late but wanted to acknowledge National Pet Day and my constant companion of 17+ years

Finally had the opportunity to write and record a commentary track for a movie prominently featuring my late pal Dick Erdman. An important film… coming soon!

This resignation letter from the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York City is worth reading. There is no basis in law or logic for the AG to dismiss felony charges against the Mayor of New York. It is a corrupt bargain courtesy of Trump. static01.nyt.com/newsgraphics...

The 22nd annual NOIR CITY festival is a wrap today at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland. Many shows during the past week were sold out as Eddie M and the team have the noir mojo working overtime!

The 2025 Arthur Lyons' Film Noir Film Festival is scheduled for May 8-11 at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. We'll have a great line up of films and special guests for our... gulp…26th year! Information on schedule, passes, and individual tickets will be made available in the coming weeks

January 2025 has been a tragic month that just became worse with the passing of actress Jan Shepard. She was my guest for KING CREOLE (1958) at the 2019 Arthur Lyons' Film Noir Film Festival. R.I.P. Jan: you were special www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/j...

I momentarily had difficulty realizing Paul Newman would have turned 100 years old today and that he’s been gone for 17 years. He was always so present and vital.

Washington has lost their composure and I think, this game.

Meanwhile Washington reflects on a long ago coaching rant m.youtube.com/watch?v=vyRS...

I think Saquan Barclay & the Eagles just made a statement

NOCTURNE was the film debut of Joseph Pevney who told me George Raft hated dialogue & asked director Ed Marin to drop or give some of his lines to the other actors… including Joe. Joe became a top notch director at Universal in the 50s-I loved listening to his stories

Why doesn’t @nflbluesky.bsky.social just put the officials in Chiefs uniforms?

The great movie music historian and composer John Morgan has passed away. He was so helpful to me in nailing down the details of the BLOOD ON THE MOON music score composed by Roy Webb for my book. John was a fount of knowledge & a kind gent. Check out his incredible body of work. R.I.P.

@selfstyledsiren.bsky.social Happy Birthday Farran!

Happy New Year!

As someone who served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, I fully understand and appreciate the shaping influence that Admiral Rickover had on so many people including President Jimmy Carter. www.usni.org/magazines/na...

President Jimmy Carter R.I.P.

How to decide which NFL franchise—the Jets or the Giants—is a greater disgrace to their fans and their profession? I’d have to vote for the Jets who have much more talent than the Giants but are an undisciplined dysfunctional mess.

The life of an acclaimed Hollywood scribe who became the dark inspiration for Noah Cross in CHINATOWN (1974). NOT SO TALL IN THE SADDLE was originally published in Round Up Magazine. Not holiday whimsy, but a story that Chase's daughter wanted to finally tell. alankrode.com/not-so-tall-...

What a shock! Rickey Henderson, baseball's greatest base stealer and lead off hitter is dead at 65. I watched him his entire career—nobody came close to him as being an unstoppable terror to opposing teams on the base paths. R.I.P. www.newsweek.com/sports/mlb/b...

Nobody does this with more skill & empathy than TCM… nobody. m.youtube.com/watch?v=GxJq...

What a great 2nd half comeback by the Chargers beating Denver 34-27! This team has heart and is going to the playoffs. Plus watching only the 2nd NFL free kick I’ve seen-last one was 1969 when Lombardi coached Washington in his final season. BOLT UP!

I was delighted ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES (1938) was added to the National Film Registry. It is the 5th film directed by Michael Curtiz so honored joining CASABLANCA, YANKEE DOODLE DANDY, MILDRED PIERCE and THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD in the NFR. THE BREAKING POINT should be added next year!

A review by the CineSavant of one of my favorite movies that I was fortunate to be able to provide the commentary track. Just in time for the holidays! trailersfromhell.com/body-and-soul/

Hope everyone has a Price-less Yuletide.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to the great Edward G. Robinson shown here being directed by Michael Curtiz in KID GALAHAD (1937) as cornerman Harry Carey ministers to Wayne Monroe
