Having to run the mile: muscles
Playing in general (or,uh,arranging my toys or “directing” everyone playing house)—neither? Maybe breath if I was in anxiety mode—but that’s what arranging/directing helped with.

As she pauses for breath near the end of her rambling it sounds like she needs a hit of an asthma inhaler.

I hope for her sake that she does—unfortunately leaving him comes with risks to her safety & well being.(obv so does staying but that’s the nature of these dynamics)

I’m genuinely curious how cops/Nat Guard etc would respond if protestors carried only Confederate flags as a straight faced prank.

Oh god, I briefly worked with Steve Dahl in 2001 and he brought that night up in every. single. conversation.

The sensible centrist can only barely tolerate struggle & tragedy when it’s summed up as a news ‘story’ with a happy-ish ending.
I learned first hand that they can’t handle IRL poverty, violence or disability.

Folks of all ages are on SSDI/Social Security due to Disability, which means even more millions are exposed.
They’re deliberately targeting society’s most vulnerable:disabled and seniors.

I spent that time cooking meals this morning so I can avoid cooking in the Sat-Mon heatwave & now I want a cape & a crown for being so prepared.

the landlord, and increasing years of experience as a renter(can increase your confidence due to surviving as a renter).
My income is shit but stable, my property manager sucks, BUT I’ve been a renter for over 40 years so now I’m A Double Barrel Bitch Hog when it comes to standing up for myself.

I don’t see it as cowardice. I see it as a pragmatic response when one’s primary goal is to maintain a roof over their head (preferably a safe & rodent free one).
& the degree of those feelings change based on one’s current income/sense of financial stability and

We found out that the rats would run towards whoever threw a brick. Motherfuckers!!
Also, there’s a great but impossible to find 1999 documentary about DC rats.
They just saunter around, cat sized, like they own the streets because they do.

Right? I lived in DC/14th St & elsewhere in 1981+ and we had some motherfucking HUGE rats outside.
We’d grab a brick everytime we RAN to our roomies car parked in the alley just in case we needed to play Flat Rat.
(& if a vid is xtra burden, stress etc don’t do it!)

And the cumulative toll was awful,+ getting legal aid involved until bars were put in place, problem solved.
But it took me awhile to feel normal & safe at home & my cat is still on antianxiety meds & needs me to stand guard while she eats😸
So yeah, expect a little needed recovery time.

It’s your home ie safe space and it’s being invaded—& there’s no way to preemptively understand the impact!
For almost a year, a neighbor cat would run full speed at my window ,hitting it -everytime it saw my cat inside the sill. It sounded like a bowling ball ie like someone was trying to break in

As a 19 yr old punk in DC I got to decorate the stage for his live Pee Wee Party because I had vintage toys & lunch boxes.
Pre show he came onto the stage as Paul to thank me & chatted about my toys. He’d never seen the full Pillsbury family that included grandparents & kids!
He was so sweet & fun

I was living in a rental house w/an attic bedroom(not mine) that was fully infested with bats behind the walls.
Landlord also failed in the only 1 or 2 bats phase.
One escaped to the downstairs & boy howdy I went into sergeant mode & got it outside with no human ,cat, or bat bloodshed.🦇🩸
