Here's the meme ig

You're spot, on but again, people are refusing to process and respond to this in proprotion to its severity.

“Belonging is an activity and not a state. We still do have to argue about it, but the arguing about it – that actually is the thing, the work of constituting it.”

Anyone else seen this language?!?

Uhhh I was gonna post a dumb meme about how I screwed up the timing on refilling my ADHD meds,, But I just got a reply from my psych that apparently DEA is now mandating that all controlled substances can only be prescribed during manditory meetings once every 30 days????

"When right-wing extremists come after public education...They are coming after your ability to consume information, to read books that speak to your identity, to develop empathy for your peers, to think critically about the world around you." Read more: www.teenvogue.com/story/studen...

if you are a cis person it costs you nothing to just say today that you see & hear your trans sisters & brothers & others over in the UK today -- and around the world, too, knowing that rulings like today's ripple out in ugly ways.

yeah there's a direct through line between this ruling and anyone who bought that hogwart's game that trans people got screamed at for suggesting we boycott

I have, up close, witnessed the damage done by self-appointed "leaders" time and again. We have lost so much due to such figures using our communities and movements as a springboard for their own power, ego and careers while causing no shortage of infighting in the process.

Pretty sickened by UK's Supreme Court 🤮 So I'm opening my submission inbox to unagented trans authors in the UK until the END OF APRIL. I'm not currently open to general subs BUT if you're a trans author writing folk horror, weird, experimental, mystery, literary/upmkt fiction, take a look below 👇

Jesus this is bleak news coming from the UK to wake up to....

Today's writing mood was spending a full hour digging down to the deepest abyssal depths of my English vocabulary to summon what is possibly the only contemporary use case for the word 'fain' in order to solve a three paragraph transition vignette in a scene that I first wrote over three years ago.

We’ve seen class consciousness spike nationally, and people realizing that America needs a revolution. But y’all, there are people who’ve BEEN organizing for this for a loooong time. If you didn’t listen then, it’s time to listen now. go.bsky.app/V7hv1w4

HEY MONEY HAVERS: when you see a huge org do something kinda good for once, Eg. Harvard, or a Dem politician, or Human Rights Watch or whatever the fuck, think about how much you want to donate to their "fund" and then donate that to a trans person, a Gazan, an abortion fund, a Black mutual aid org

👀

This is great news. I've gotten my care thru Planned Parenthood since 2018, and I've had nothing but a good experience. If the organization in Arizona plans to hold, it bodes well. This admin isn't going to stop at trans healthcare, as they stand against everything PP provides as well.

Tomorrow I'm gonna be putting my journalism hat back on and doing a round-up of major news stories relating to trans literature preservation from the last few months 👀

I have finally nailed down my schedule for the next few weeks, which involves being in six different cities in multiple countries 😵‍💫 Gonna be a very busy Beth

I want to second this, and also add that I wouldn't be able to review a book like this if I hadn't been paying attention to critiques from Talia and Benjanun and others for months, if I didn't have a vigorous base of trans of color theory to work from. Ultimately my aim is to channel and amplify.

Okay, so this is going to sound inflammatory, but I promise it isn't. One of the reasons I appreciate Beth's review of this book is because she talks about race and the Third World unflinchingly. Which you'd think I, as a brown tranny who harps on epistemic authority constantly, wouldn't endorse.

I have never been able to sit through a full podcast in my life but 👀👀👀

extremely tired of the argument that vague liberal gestures toward solidarity with trans people (of which the worst one can say is ‘mostly unhelpful’) are at fault for the current virulence of the transphobic project. the reason is targeted propaganda laundered by mainstream media. and lobbying

Introducing Transwrecks, a review series for books that suck enough to merit their own category. I loathed this book, but its overall warm reception by the community up to this point seems to strike at a deeper issue about anti-intellectualism and the role of truth in feminist critique ⬇️🫤

Sickening. As a Pennsylvanian and a Jew, just sickening.

Exiling people beyond the protection of US law without due process is not only unconstitutional, it's a rejection of the entire American revolutionary project. Sending people "beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences" is one of the grievances enumerated in the Declaration of Independence.
