Exiling people beyond the protection of US law without due process is not only unconstitutional, it's a rejection of the entire American revolutionary project. Sending people "beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences" is one of the grievances enumerated in the Declaration of Independence.

UPDATE: Trump seems to say for the first time that U.S. lacks ability to recover those sent to El Salvador if government deports someone erroneously. Says it’s totally up to Bukele. Seems to leave out that he could … ask Bukele to help fix an error. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Look at what they are doing in North Carolina.
Just let them go in flames already, and start killing each other or living like slaves. Serves them right.
Due process.
Those were the days (when SCOTUS cared about the Constitution and individual liberty), remember?
@askchucky.bsky.social
basically it would be a power move if this president made trump look bad
But typical Americans are too complacent. We once taught a war against taxation without representation, now nobody will admit that is what Puerto Rico, Guam & DC have.
Why should we get worked about about Kings? We named a basketball team & adore the royal family
“Did Bukele deny the President’s request to return the man you admit was sent there in error?”
Seriously Trump’s mental illness won’t let him say that tiny country Central America won’t obey him.
And talking or writing about it doesn't matter.
What Trump is doing - what Trump is INTENDING - is clearly incitement to violence so he can then dispose of the rule of law altogether & rule by decree as king.
Get ready to fight.
It would be nice if some enterprising journalist would ask Trump, "Well, did you ask Bukele and he told you no? Did you just accept Bukele's no or did you try to put some pressure on him?"
mob -threaten him like he does to law firms and universities
Obvious to us, but not to the Orange Comrade.
Back. Trump doesn’t want the bad press or human rights charges that would follow
