Today’s album: “Omnium Gatherum” by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard First listen. Interesting. All the songs are good to great, but this one feels less like a cohesive album and more like a collection of singles. Which seems unusual for Gizz.

Today’s album: “4 (Expanded Edition)” by Beyoncé First listen. Some good stuff here. “Best Thing I Never Had” and ‘I Was Here” in particular.

1) That’s an awesome name for a dessert, and I would totally try it if ordered by a group I was with. 2) Those pics made my pancreas whimper.

I really do appreciate that FFXIV has low level gear that doesn’t look embarrassing. (I also appreciate that you can go full clown suit if that’s your desire.)

That the Brand New? Yup, it’s great. Kind of my go to through lvl50. (There are versions available for all classes.)

Today’s album: “Gumboot Soup” by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard First listen. More bits and bobs, but a rather more cohesive collection of them than “Oddments”. I very much dug “Superposition” and “All is Known”.

Today’s album: “I Am… Sasha Fierce” by Beyoncé First Listen. “Single Ladies” remains a banger, but I actually think I like the ballads on this one a bit more.

Today’s album: “Oddments” by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard First listen. Exactly what it says on the tin. Bits and bobs. And I think “Vegimite” is the most Australian thing I’ve ever heard. (Complimentary)

I already miss Lower Decks.

Today’s album: “B’day” by Beyoncé First listen. This one’s a bit more focused than “Dangerously in Love”. I like.

As someone who’s played all 3 possible starts. This is accurate.

Today’s album: “Fishing for Fishies” by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard First listen. This is the most 70s album I’ve heard in a very long time. (Complimentary)

I’m always amazed by how they manage to take up ridiculous amounts of space while looking tiny. Seriously, they look like weird low-poly sedans from some obscure, terrible PS1 game. And yet, they take up so much space. Do not like. It hurts my brain.

Today’s album: “Dangerously in Love” by Beyoncé First listen. A very good first album, but definitely a first (solo) album. This is a chance to fill in some gaps in my musical awareness, though, as I was basically not listening to music when this came out.

I think I’m gonna agree with the general consensus that it’s a badly sculpted stegosaurus.

And without (as far as I can tell) Sinema’s grandstanding, so more likely to fly under the radar. And the sad thing is, still better than Lake would have been. But so, so disappointing.

Today’s album: “Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava” by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. New favorite. Another backtrack in my CYOA, but I’m not complaining. This album is such a groove.

Education feels like the best fit, even if it’s not perfect. It always feels like the New Fram Plus vids come from a perspective of “What can we learn from this?” It’s one of the reasons I love the channel. I’m likely to learn *something* new with every vid.

The Denali thing burns me even more than the Gulf thing. I never heard about the official name change *to* Denali. The change back is how I found out. So, yeah. Still gonna call it Denali, like I’ve been doing since the early 2000s when I learned the proper name.

Today’s album: “Cowboy Carter: by Beyoncé Re-listen. I’m planning to work my way through the Grammy nominated albums, and figured I’d start here. Yup, still great. I… may actually be working my way through Beyoncé’s discography before I continue with the other Grammy noms.

Today’s album: “Our Bright Future” by Tracy Chapman First listen. This one felt a little country, which I was not expecting.

Today’s album: “Sketches of Brunswick East” by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard with Mild High Club First listen. Kinda funky. (And I am too tired to come up with anything more than that.)

Today’s album: “Infest the Rat’s Nest” by King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizard Re-listen. My first real back track in my King Gizz Choose Your Own Adventure. Because “Mars for the Rich” is horrifically appropriate in These Times.

For a split second, I thought the little hat on the interior of your mug was the CheckPoint logo, and I got very confused.

Oof. Hope the tummy chills out and you feel better soon.

Today’s album: “Telling Stories” by Tracy Chapman First* listen. “Telling Stories” (the song) has always been my favorite of Chapman’s songs to make it to the radio when I was listening, and I think it still is. “Fast Car” is brilliant, but there’s just something about this one…

Today’s album: “New Beginning” by Tracy Chapman First* listen. “Give Me One Reason” is such a groove. And the rest of the album’s great, too.
