They are stopping active development of emulators, but the old versions of those emulators will stay forever.
So you can just continue using old versions, since most games already worked in those.

The Steam Deck is basically a portable PC, so you can just use Yuzu or other emulators freely.
Performance is really good for most games too!

Are there really that many unported mods? I personally haven't had any issues on patch 6, though that might just be because I only have like 15 installed.
