Great question and so hard to answer lol! If I had to choose 3 books to take with me if stranded on a deserted island they would be: Endurance by Scott Kelly, Endurance by Alfred Lansing, and How to be a Stoic by Massimo Pigliucci. 📚

Great question. IMO the same thing that united us then unites us now: The desire for a good life, a safe place for children to grow up, the ability to get an education, our basic needs met, good employment opportunities, and a functioning government working for the people.
