Hey, I’m Dan Rivkin and I’ve been writing about the Beatles’ Get Back sessions since 2012 at theymaybeparted.com. Same guy you’ve seen @theymaybeparted in all the other places.

Today would have been George Harrison's 82nd birthday in the material world (or maybe it was just yesterday). Here's a repost of my birthday card to George, revisiting his deeply vibrant period between his 25th & 26th birthdays, from February 1968-69 🎂🎸🕉 theymaybeparted.com/2016/02/25/t...

It’s February 22 and 56 years ago - about 3 weeks post-Rooftop - the Beatles & Billy (minus George's tonsils) were marvelously loud at Trident in their 1st proper stab at "I Want You (She's So Heavy)", the blurry line between the Get Back & Abbey Road sessions youtu.be/BvT4BUFauqc?...

Earlier tonight, my 12-year-old took an empty pizza box to the trash and said, “see you ‘round the clubs.” The future is in good hands.

Happy 92nd birthday to Yoko Ono! 🎂 (For context on the age: That's 1 1/2 years older than Brian Epstein would have been, almost 2 years older than Elvis and more than 3 years older than Buddy Holly & Roy Orbison. She was more than 7 1/2 years older than John).

Happy Valentine’s Day from me, my candy jar and the Beatles in the ‘70s to you ♥️💙💜💛💚

And if you haven’t already seen, good ol’ Every Night also on the setlist, but apparently skipped (unless someone has heard to the contrary). If he’s going to put songs on the setlist just to skip them, he should have teased us with something more insane (Twenty Fine Fingers, A Love For You, etc)

Much (though not entirely) the same, if this is accurate. Good to have Flaming Pie!

The fact that Paul HAS played “Wah-Wah” on stage means anything is possible! www.dailymotion.com/video/x81vnvr

I’d like to welcome special guest Dhani Harrison on stage, we’re going to do one I did with his dad called “Whatever It Is That Will Please You”.

It’s happening again tonight. For all we know he’s on stage sitting in a gray bag right now.

THE MCCARTNEY LEGACY VOLUME 3 REQUEST We already have many unheard interviews with George Martin but are seeking archival interviews with Martin and Geoff Emerick relating to their work with Paul McCartney. Any format accepted: file, reel to reel, tape, CD. If you can help please drop us an email.🙏❤️

Let’s celebrate Paul playing live with one of my favorite live Paul tracks. Whenever the DJ spins “The Mess,” I always do the dance of the woman in the blue dress. Whole club goes nuts. youtu.be/om5xcVhR1c8?...

So there we have it. Pretty rote setlist for him. But Paul McCartney, who started playing live in 1957, is still playing concerts in 2025. Isn’t that a blessing? (Reposting this to fix typo)

17 takes of Maxwell's Silver Hammer, with Spies Like Us as the encore.

McCartney could be in there playing Suzy Parker and Ode to a Koala Bear right now, and we’d have no idea

Paul in the same box as my boss, true story

Happy Super Bowl Sunday to those who celebrate! 🏈
