It's a mental exhaustion. And I’m not sure how I got here. Don’t follow me, I don’t know where I’m going!

Friendly reminder that e-readers are accessibility tools, and give a lot of people access to the written word that they wouldn’t have had otherwise…

This is a feature IMO. Billionaire owned pro sports leagues and teams and their wealthy players are way more appropriate for the broligarch platforms.

Okay but I actually thought that was Alyssa Edwards for a sec and had to scroll back…

Christianity can’t exist without the celebration of a deity raping a teenage girl, but uh… yeah… you keep believing in your sky daddy there, kiddo.
comment in response to post
You spelled Christianity wrong…

Well now, the way I see it, you were just giving very good advice to someone who probably didn’t even deserve it. 😎

Meh. Of all the things I’d worry about kids being influenced by right now, frankly, porn is the least of my worries…

When you vote, you’re not just electing the name on the ballot. You’re voting for an entire administration. Trump’s voters knew full well who was in the clown car, and many voted for him because of that fact alone.

He really is. And he hasn’t responded to me despite calls and emails so thanks for posting this. I’m going to go scream into a pillow now.

The House does not get to vote on Cabinet picks, the Senate does. My Congressman can’t just kick my Senators out and take over their votes... nor are Schiff and Padilla doing my taxes for me. But you have cute delusions!

Well said.

Dude, our Democratic Senators in CA are literally voting with the GOP right now…
comment in response to post
Yes, that is why coffee exists. 😏
comment in response to post
Yes. Are your Senators actually providing answers when you call? Because both CA Senators who keep screwing off refuse to even mass email an explanation.
comment in response to post
Thank you. We’re demanding a lot from our reps right now, and you’ve continued to show up and multitask under tense conditions, while our Senators are voting against our entire state, we deeply appreciate it.

We need to be able to do both. You can donate to organizations doing the legal work to take on said criminals while simultaneously working with organizations lining up out future leaders.

He is a party leader and should be rallying all Democratic Senators around hard no resistance votes.
comment in response to post
Though I personally love both, this is a delightful take.

With you in spirit from SoCal! 💙

To be fair, a shirt has been more useful the last two weeks… 😒

Probably wondering why their constituents seem to think the Senate handles letters of impeachment when that’s done in Congress. 😬 I’m with ya on the rage, but let’s make sure we’re also aware of how our own government works too.

Oh yes, I’ve got all the numbers saved. Not at all new to this. Pretty sure Dianne Feinstein’s staff knew my voice at one point back in the day. 😁

I’m on week two of contacting reps and party leaders on my lunch and after work every day and I’ve got plenty of rage and energy. Just need more people joining me. More of us than them!
comment in response to post
Then we yell for answers. We don’t give up even when they do. His VM is full so we resort to email.

Noooo. Speaking as a Californian, please no. Schiff voted yes on Trump’s MTV reality show star for transportation secretary. And don’t get me started on the countless other crap. He and Padilla are also not responding to constituents. 🤬

Yes, same! My soul so needed that energy.
comment in response to post
Hey, thanks for posting that. This has been a great call! I hope others joined in.

Oh, that’s frustrating. But! Take it out on party leaders, they represent you too. I’m in CA and both Schumer and Jeffries got impassioned calls from me last week. They need to smack some of our Senate Dems upside the head. (And someday we’ll get back to fighting for statehood for you, I swear… 🤦‍♀️)

For real, my jaded atheist self is like… sure, why not? Nothing a little prayer, essential oils, a bleach injection, and shot of ivermectin can’t cure, right?

One thing that I’ve watched unfold year after year: Republicans are more likely to contact their elected officials. I’m curious how many people complaining on social media actively took part in democracy and called to demand a no vote from their Senator.

Speaking as an American cousin, go for it. 🇨🇦

I get it, but if you don’t, someone is calling on your behalf to thank him. We also need more people reaching out to Dem party leaders, so that’s also an option!
comment in response to post
Yes, this. Every. Day. Congress and party leaders too.

Nah, dude. I’m worried about my trans and non-binary friends, and my undocumented neighbors. And I’m worried about why there’s no action against Musk, the foreign adversary the founding fathers warned us about…
comment in response to post
Because no one follows this until the end result makes news, and then they can project their own inaction on an easy target. Personally, I just hope he has more actions than words.
comment in response to post
OMG. This is so unacceptable.
comment in response to post
Wanna really get mad? Next time you call your reps and our party leaders, ask the staffers how busy they've been with calls and emails about the topic you reached out about. People put more energy toward ineffective social media rants than telling their elected representatives what to represent.
comment in response to post
And contacting them and telling them (both our reps AND our party leaders!) is exactly how we get them moving. Let’s gooooo!
comment in response to post
Hey, better late than never. I want to see every registered Democrat post on social media only AFTER they have contacted their elected officials and party leadership. About. Everything. People gotta stop acting like we can check out between elections.
comment in response to post
I hope people read the whole article. Do not leave these women out to fight the battle alone, folks. Contact your reps AND our party leaders about EVERY issue you care about. It’s effective and it lessens that agonizing feeling of helplessness!
