My classmates and I have already experienced the impact of the city's budget woes: A few days ago, I was rejected from an internship with the SF City Administrator's office due to the current budget woes of the Daniel Lurie administration.

I find it very telling that San Francisco describes itself as "a city that celebrates Black culture" but has elected a mayor (Daniel Lurie) who has done absolutely nothing to prevent the gentrification and displacement of Black San Franciscians.
