It drives me nuts that we dont have the relevant sunday collect or the relevant bog standard for that day collect option, especially when it is clear nobody has a clue who the saint is, and when the collect writer was clearly at a bit of a loss as well!

Indeed... the civil war isn't English. But his defence of Anglicanism contra puritanism in England was a reality. I totally understand if scots in particular have even more qualms keeping a feast today!
