Unfortunately secession has been a Russian narrative since 2016, especially in California. It’s just my opinion that we may need to be patient; the felon in the White House is making a million enemies for himself every day! We need to stand together even through these dark days IMO.

Sorry Mark, I know that you are underestimating the depth of knowledge that an advanced degree brings. You are also overestimating the performance of current AI. I often agree with you but not in this case!

I’m in San Diego north county. My backyard also has lots of fruit trees: avocados, Fuyu persimmons, navel oranges, sumo tangerines, tangelos, apricots, plums, apples, cherimoyas, pineapple guavas, strawberry guavas, limes, lemons and Valencia oranges. I’ve probably forgotten a few:)

We installed solar and replaced the gas heater with a heat pump 6 years ago; now we also have central air conditioning as a bonus and no more gas bills! We care about our planet but the system has already paid for itself, so the economic reasons make heat pumps very attractive for everyone!

Pomegranate trees are awesome but start planning now by getting commitments from friends and family that will take some of the copious amount of fruit that you will get. I’ve had one for 30+ years, very productive! 😎 I harvest about 70 pounds a year, even though I prune it hard.
