I'm almost old enough to retire, but I'd rather not - I feel like I'm starting a whole new chapter.

Looks like I'm trying Linux again. Mint, specifically. Dual boot with Windows because I'm passing for Adobe and one or two of my games don't run - yet - in Linux.

Two works-in-progress - definitely not finished. Both are 4.75" square panels, painted in oil. I'm really enjoying the smaller size, they're definitely harder on the eyes to work on lol - but less daunting, and easier to finish. Also, I swear, in person, they look much better.

I now have a second 3D printer, a "gift" (a small cash exchange, but worth it) from a friend who didn't want it any more because it took up too much space. My first proper print (on this printer), something I sculpted in Nomad Sculpt on my iPad last summer. Painting soon.

First coat, first painting in quite a while. I legitimately can't remember when I did my last painting - last year? Happy with the progress so far, this is literally an undercoat, I now have to wait for it to dry (oil paint on Birch panel, copy of a Rembrandt painting I've always kind of liked)

This is why you don't do your under sketching with graphite. I covered it with an acrylic gloss gel medium which will keep the pencil from bleeding into the paint, but it still looks monstrous lol.

And this, my friends, is how I check to make sure I haven't left any patches after I've shaved my head. I don't need no man. I mean, sure, I'd like one, but I don't need one.

Visiting friends in New York

The rest of Canada, even our Premiere, Doug Ford, may hate Toronto, the city where I've lived for the last 33 years, but I *finally* love it and can't imagine living anywhere else.

I never realized how proud I am of my country until President DumbFuck made it clear that his plans are to destroy the Canadian economy so that we are forced to come crawling to him, begging him to annex us. I would literally rather die than give up my country. Fuck Trump, fully.

(I'm in Canada). At the Dollarama this 1L Pepsi Zero is $1.25. at most grocery and convenience stores, this same size is between $2.79 and $3.79. 700ml size at Dollarama is $1.50. Zero logic. Anywhere. Tell me again that prices aren't arbitrarily decided.

something i threw together (same as before, but with more) using Adobe's Project Neo Beta.

oh, and after i did the spinning person in Adobe's Project Neo, I did this. I was more experimental and decided to go bigger. This is not complete, eventually it will be fully furnished.

took one of the many car models i started in Blender but got stuck somewhere with (last year) and since I've been using Blender3D more frequently/regularly for the past couple of months, I figured I'd try some stuff. It may not look like much, but this was literally a blob an hour ago. Yay creases!

playing with Adobe's Project Neo (beta). So much fun, and pretty intuitive.

Stop staring at me .

Why does everything about time-traveling-to-fix-things involve k1ll1ng a baby? Just go back, stop Seth Meyers from doing that comedy roast, Trump (maybe) doesn't run for president, then, go back, keep Hitler's parents from meeting - or just from having a child, and bam, problems solved.

So it would appear my flesh ever pair or transition lenses work. Yay!

I no longer stay up to date on the news, and as such, I am so much less stressed because of it. Here is a tilable image of some jellyfish I made using Adobe Firefly.

Enjoying the warmth of the sun on his face...

Farmers are at risk of losing their farms because of the president's policies and at this point it doesn't matter for whom who they voted. No/fewer farmers means food shortages and *high* prices. Still funny? Still feel like the better person for shaming them for their voting choices? Grow up.

Toronto, Canada, where I live, is full of all kinds of people. Today I'm looking at older people, homeless, the eclectic, and I'm picturing them as young adults - before life set in - wondering if this is where they thought they'd end up. Personally, I did not expect to be where I am, but here I am.

I've spent the last few days in a flurry of quasi-productivity - 3D modelling AND painting, completely rearranging my entire apartment (including disassembling and reassembling two desks), but MOST importantly, I shaved my moustache, despite fears that I'd look older. I'm good with the results.

Miss Chrystia Freeland has suggested a 100% tariff on Tesla's, and US-made booze, and said that every other country should do the same. The world thinks Canada is all nice and soft. Yeah, no, we're not actually. Fuck around with us and find out what happens when you piss us off.

I love my shoes. I always feel like a boss when I wear them.

Kevin O'Leary - please leave Canada as soon as you can. We don't need you and that crazy Alberta lady poisoning the country any more than you already have. GTFO. Go live in the US if you love it so much. Seriously - celebrities need to stay the f4ck out of politics.

Only speaking for myself: any Canadian who wants Canada to become the 51st state should just move to the US - clearly you don't need (nor want) to be here. Leave the country to the people who love it and want to be here. Make *that* the new US/Canada trade agreement (meaning it can work both ways).

The lobby in the building where I work. Actually it's one of three lobbies, but this is the one I use. I just like chairs and the overall ambiance...? Can't word today, sorry .

So I 3D printed that cat I made (in Blender3D) for my mother. Not sure what to do with it now... Ok fine I know exactly what to do with it - paint it!

I love my mother. She's 87, but she doesn't quite *get* 3D stuff. I managed to get her to *kind of* understand it, at which point she asked "Why are you making boring things like massage guns? Why not a cat?" So, here's my first 3D modelled cat, because if my Mum asks for a cat, I make a cat.

I used to wonder why people were so quick to share their trauma on social media. Pretty quickly I realized it was 99% Americans, and THEN I realized it was likely because most Americans can't afford to see a therapist, and since just saying the words out loud can often relieve an awful burden...

I painted this a couple of years ago and she's been staring at the back of my head ever since. I decided to give her a bit of a refresh by painting the edges of the canvas and a centimeter into the actual painting gold. I'm quite happy with the result. Thoughts?
