I want to create a fake account where I talk about the joy of working with every famous person that dies, as if I was their teacher or best friend. I think in this day and age, it would somehow become a part of the historical record.

Whenever the media wants to avoid talking about the size of a protest, they preface it with "crowd sizes are hard to estimate," and then they follow that with a ridiculously low number (100,000 for NYC). For St. Patrick's, it's "1,000,000 people..." and add 4 hours of live coverage (NBC ch 4!)

Another presumption that is going unchecked by the media: The world has not treated the U.S. "unfairly" just because we import more of their products than we export of ours. That's called "wealth," and as someone obsessed with money, he should not have chosen Michael Scott as his economics teacher.

What I've learned, from bitter experience, is that people in power who deserve to die, never do. Futile gesture, but I'm going to start lighting a 7 day prayer candle every week until he is one of the dead.

Here's what newspapers/media won't do:Question the premise of the arguments put forth by the usurpers in the WH. Greenland is not necessary to the defense of the United States. DEI initiatives are not illegal. EPA regulations are not unconstitutional. SS is not going broke.

It's been true for a very long time, but Republicans never pay for their crimes, mistakes, lies, deflections, obfuscation and just plain stupidity.

I feel like every message the dems and maybe the indies come up with is too complicated. "Don't destroy medicaid to give rich people a tax cut." It's just too complicated because 9 out of 10 people don't even understand medicaid, even if they're using it. "No tax cuts for billionaires." Period.

When I think about the long 4 years ahead, I try to remember when Jerry and Elaine visited his parents in Del Boca Vista. Jerry: "It's only for three days. Today's over and we have tomorrow. We leave on Sunday. It's one day, really." And who knows, maybe he'll die.

Heard on CBS Radio playing in a deli a commercial by that horrible dog killer Noem, supposedly addressed to "illegal immigrants," to "leave now." Commercial thanked "President Donald Trump" at least 3 times. Thing is, Spanish speakers listen to Spanish radio. That commercial was a warning for whites

Amazon Prime, 20 minutes in: "Your movie will continue uninterrupted after this message." I guess we've moved on to a new definition of uninterrupted.

paulkrugman.substack.com/p/trump-is-p... Good explanation of Trump's future heist: "Crypto Reserve," which we don't need and provides no benefit to the U.S., unlike strategic oil reserves. Oligarchy or Kleptocracy?Probably a new word needs inventing.

I don't have television so it's not hard to avoid the cascade of lies and filth that will come out of that piece of trash. But worse than more garbage is a congress that sits back in their chairs and lets him disobey every budget and law (TikTok) decision they've made.

The New York Times told me today that I was a robot and wouldn't let me read any articles. And Trump boasted after the disgrace he brought on the country that it would make good television. When is it going to end? Apocalypse ongoing.

Another thing to remember is that they don't care what you call them, what clever and insulting memes you create. They know they are hated by half the world, or even more. They aren't political because they're sensitive -- just the opposite. To counter them, we must take their money.

Was trying to watch SNL satire of Zalensky v. Trump and some things are just beyond laughter. Had to turn it off. Reminds me of Jack and Bree on "Don't Look Up." We like to keep things light (as an extinction level comet approaches earth.) BUT, they should go full Tammy Faye on Bowen's eyelashes.

And if one death cult is not enough, we have the zizians, which I'd never heard of till today. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Here in South Africa, sat down and introduced myself to a couple at an event. She said, we love trump, and added, he was chosen by God. Said to her, "Maybe, if you believe in God." Never even said her name or hello. They are a cult.

So about 10000 people have been fired by musk so far. Their next plan is to replace them with sycophants to trump. This is like Castro when he fired taxi drivers and gave their jobs to prostitutes.

Deleting a Twitter account is next to impossible. Finally got a message that said, "You may not be allowed to suspend this account." That's one way to keep the numbers deceptively high.

I'm not sure if this is free to read, but Michael Moore has often been right, (with a few exceptions). He makes the case that his downfall is already written, but that we don't know yet, where it's going to come from.

Early on, I wondered how a government functions on lies, and then I saw the start of 3 body problem, where scientists were being forced to call relativity "Western propaganda," and killed if they didn't acquiesce. They were killed, but it was about the show, the mob and the display of power.

"Is it moral to believe... that your sins, yours and mine, can be forgiven by the punishment of another person? Is it ethical to believe that? I would submit that the doctrine of vicarious redemption by human sacrifice is utterly immoral." -- Christopher Hitchens.

Over on FB I reported a woman who was leaving a slew of homophobic comments on someone else's post. Within 2 seconds received a reply that it didn't violate their standards, which means no one looked at it, or assessed it. Posted an appeal.

The first time around, I found great comfort in re-watching "Arrival." Can't explain it, but there was even a NY Times piece that wrote about the comfort of "Arrival," and Amy Adams. This time, I find myself watching Christopher Hitchens on Youtube and he (RIP) gives me hope.
