Honestly, I'd be happy with that. We *need* a Solarpunk era.

...I am both flattered and worried lmao... Thank you! Yeah, absolute Neuromancer vibes - pretty much signaled the beginning of cyberpunk. And since we're apparently hauling ass towards a very CP2077 dystopia, I figure I should get started /s lol

Hah. Funny how my phone bg is this, but solo. Wonder what that says about me...

I tried, trust me, but they're still very much about going into the office and stuff. Plus, most gaijin jobs are in Tokyo, and I wanted to go to Fukuoka :/

I was holding out on doing a new run for this weekend, but I really wanna check out the new travel mechanisms and additions!

Lived two years there, one near Tokyo, one in Shikoku. Wouldn't trade anything for that time there - only reason I never went back is they don't pay pentesters as much. Senior or Principal.

Highly recommend Japan, then. Still very possible to have a similar lifestyle!

Marko Kloos' Frontlines series. The Martian and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. The entire Expanse series by James S. A. Corey.

Facts, dude. Wrecked humanity real good. And also, spite is an *amazing* motivator, if you need a burst of motivation lol.

Honestly, it's exactly that - discipline. Fuck motivation, it's waaaay too fickle. Just force it until it becomes habit. And yeah, dude, you were rocking it! That's about what my build is like rn, but lower muscle mass ('rona did a number on me), and middle aged at this point (😭).

It's a pain, ngl. Doing CICO + OMAD has done mostly wonders for me. But yeah, I'm at 185-200 lbs/14-19% body fat, depending on what I'm doing at the time. But exercise doesn't make you lose weight as much as diet - don't just take my word for it. I think Kurzgesagt has a video on this, actually!

It honestly was a lot of fun to learn and practice. Made a bunch of friends to it, too, and helped me with upping my stamina. But while it's beautiful, uses...are rare. And I used to train in MMA for a while, so I honestly looked lol

Riiiiight. I'd totally forgotten about that! I was in Miami at the time, so it was either parkour or Capoeira. I chose the latter. Some regrets lol

Honestly, I can't argue it. I've seen all of S2 and, yeah. No spoilers, but it doesn't drop in quality at all. Nuts. IIRC, Kojima found someone for MGS? Portal, I'm down. But Mirror's Edge? Man, I haven't heard that name in a *minute*, but can you imagine everyone getting into parkour? lol

Yeah, Jinx is legit lunchin through most of S1 lol Sure, traumatic back story, but like damn chill.

Holy shit, I can't believe I found someone else that plays Stardeus!! :O

And thus the legend ("Anytime Deus Ex is mentioned, someone must install it") is alive an well. *reinstalls Deus Ex (Revision) for the nth time*

I really wanna go, but I haven't formally started my physics studies (still wrapping up my infosec masters). I'm afraid I'll be lost as hell if I go :/

Like and drink, Internet friend.

Can't disagree there, tbh. So...do something like have the synopsis and a general article, with a link to a separate article with the more specific info? I mean, if filmlgraphies are usually listed separately in media articles...why not...

An alternative: Expand Simple English wiki considerably and advertise it more. That way we retain the specific, detailed language needed in the wiki, but people still have access to the information in a more digestible format/language.

A Hot Rod GIF over Optimus? Bold. I like it lol

Huh. I guess that even if another species were to sense rhymic acoustic vibrations, it wouldn't necessarily mean "music"... That's an interesting concept, though! Really cool to think about! What are the leading contestants for the album, though?

I'd be legit amazed if they do, but fuck 'em, get your money back if you can!

No, it's a light dusting, but it's a meme that NC can't handle snow worth a damn lol That said, very shitty that appointments just...ended with an "Oh, well, sorry we're not here!" :/
comment in response to post
Oh, yeah. Uber and Uber Eats is silly expensive here in NC. Also, first time I see actual snow here, other than sleet. I don't think NC does well with snow and ice lol

Family and friends (who are almost all at least bilingual) get the actual pronunciation. Everyone else, depending on the accent/language spoken, to prevent miscommunications.

Pretty much anything by Kurzgesagt. Their videos are very digestible for a wide range of ages without oversimplifying too much. Another really goo one is ScienceClic English - amazing visualizations of physical phenomena, as well as very good explanations for everything!

Ooh. Why does this one look kinda different?

🥷, which is what I'm choosing for social engineering. LLMs are pretty good at sounding human, and can come up with different ways of saying things to prevent repetition. Helps a lot thag they can sound human, because doing SE is draining as hell sometimes.

Absolutely fascinating to read.
