I've often heard it claimed that the reason Republicans are more effective at imposing their agenda than Democrats is that Democrats are controlled opposition who don't have any principles. That is at least partly true. But there is something else at play.

Here in northwest Ohio, we're getting smoke from the Canadian wildfires. Is that also related to the fluff I've seen floating in the air today? I don't think we usually get that this time of year.
